Day 1&2: A leisurely start to Mauritius
Our honeymoon trip to Mauritius began with a flight from New Delhi to Port Louis. We landed in Mauritius at 11 am and from there on, we got picked up by the hotel car for our transfer. Around 2 pm, we reached Mauricia Beachcomber Resort & Spa. By the time we checked into our room, had lunch, and settled in- the sun had already started to set on a scenic afternoon in Mauritius.

Day 3: Urban cityscape sightseeing
After a fine few days of leisure, we finally got into our sightseeing grove and got ready for a full day tour in Mauritius. On this day, we covered a variety of places like a Shiva Temple, Le Caudan Waterfront, Port Louis City Centre, Reine De La Paix, and Riche Terre Mall.
The intriguing sightseeing tour got over around 5 pm, after which we headed back to the hotel and rested for the night.

Day 4: The surreal beauty of Ile Aux Cerfs
Probably, the highlight of our honeymoon trip to Mauritius arrived on this day of our vacation. Post breakfast, we were scheduled to visit the gorgeous Ile Aux Cerfs for a day trip.
First, we were taken to a jetty by road and from there we boarded a fancy speedboat that took us to Ile Aux Cerfs. Seeing the boat bouncing over the waves as we arrived at this insanely beautiful island felt like a scene straight outta Hollywood. After arriving at Ile Aux Cerf, I took a few minutes to breathe it all in and realize that I was probably was on the most scenic beach I had ever seen.
In the evening, we returned via the same speedboat to the main island jetty. From there, we were transferred back to the hotel for the night.
Day 5: An adventurous South Island excursion
On our honeymoon trip to Mauritius, we had three days dedicated completely to sightseeing. This day was by far the most exciting and adventurous out of all. We visited places like Volcano Crater, Grand Bassin, and Casela National Park (where we did adventure activities like Nepalese bridge and ziplining).
The 350m long Nepalese Bridge was the most exciting activity of our honeymoon trip to Mauritius. It took us 45 minutes to cover that bridge as there was only enough room to plant one foot ahead at a time. Afterwards, we went for the incredible 500 m zipline in Casela. To wind up our day, we opted out of visiting the diamond factory and chose to visit the Ship Building factory instead where we bought some souvenirs and gifts for family members.

Day 6: Paddling around the calm waters
On the penultimate day of our honeymoon trip to Mauritius, we began our day by relaxing at the resort and then hired some equipment at the hotel to do some paddle-boating for a few hours. The calm waters around the resort were an absolute treat to explore in solace.
The afternoon ended with a glass-bottom boat ride, and beach volleyball in the hotel with some fellow travelers. It was only fitting that the final evening of our honeymoon trip to Mauritius would be the most romantic. With a serene Candlelight dinner, we ended our final night in Mauritius.
Day 7: Farewell Mauritius
On the final day, we checked out in the morning and then went out for some more shopping since our flight won’t leave until later that evening. The hotel people did a very sweet gesture to offer lunch despite us having checked out from the hotel at noon. Around 4.30 pm, we got our pick up for the airport for our return flight to New Delhi.
