None of these three walls exist anymore. However, the gateway to the eastern side of Rajbari retains Dimapur’s ancient glory. It is an arch-shaped gateway built with bricks. The ruins comprise nearly a hundred stone pillars in three parallel rows. Of these pillars, all are hewn out of sandstone.
These are monoliths, ranging in height from 8 feet to 9 feet. The biggest and tallest monolith found here is about 12 feet in height. The stone pillars of Rajbari are mostly round and square. The carved pillars have designs of a lotus, peacock, and horse, along with other decorative geometric patterns. The upper portions are shaped like a dome, popularly known as “mushroom” or “chessman pillars.”
