Our family trip to Langkawi was an out of the world experience! Those 4 days of breathtaking beauty, adventure, and world class luxuries gave us infinite memories to cherish for a lifetime. It also allowed my wife and I to celebrate our five year marriage anniversary amidst heavenly nature and quite frankly, I couldn’t have asked for more.
Being a online guy, I did a lot of research before finalizing on Langkawi and was right with my decision. Earlier looking for Kashmir, Dubai, Sikkim, and even Sri Lanka, I decided to go for Langkawi since the above mentioned destinations weren’t that great during monsoon. Being already familiar with TravelTriangle, I liked their customized trip functionality and thus decided to go with them and personalize my trip my way.
Our overall booking experience with TravelTriangle was great and both the agent and the TT representative, Ashima were proactive in their followups. The quotes too, were quite value for money.

The resort is a Taj property and as expected, it was beautiful, spacious, and extremely welcoming in its ambience. The hospitality was top notch and our room, even better! The hotel staff even surprised us with special decorations and a cake to celebrate my wife’s birthday. It was truly a heart warming gesture that we greatly appreciated.
The rest of the day was spent in leisure and enjoying the activities at the resort.
Day 2: Our many adventures in Langkawi
We visited the Langkawi Sky Bridge today and it was a fantastic experience! The Cable Car ride uphill was fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed by my kid and the subsequent Sky Walk was even more thrilling.
Next up, we proceeded for a two hour Mangrove tour. This was an ideal duration for us given the fact that we also had our kid with us.

During the tour, we went through an Amazon like forest and saw fish farming and bat caves. There was a very interesting eagle feeding activity where a man would throw some food in the air and all the nearby eagles would swoop down and fight amongst themselves to grab it.
Note: I paid 450 ringgits for the Mangrove trip Langkawi

Next, we proceeded to the city for some water activities and here I did parasailing. It was one of the most thrilling 25 minutes of my life and I loved each and every moment of it. Seeing a panoramic view of the island had its own charm and for those brief minutes, I believed I could fly.
Note: Paid 200 ringgits for parasailing
Day 3: The incredible island hopping experience!
Island hopping in Langkawi would be one experience that is forever etched in our hearts. This half day tour on our family trip to Langkawi was amazing and I remember being mesmerized by the crystal clear waters of the lake and paddle boating with my wife.
Everything in this tour was so serene and pristine, it appeared, as if God himself came down and painted everything blue.
This was also the day of our anniversary and in the evening when we returned to our hotel, the hotel staff had arranged a beautiful cake for us to cut. It was a beautiful feeling that is hard to describe in words.
Day 4: Shopping in Langkawi
This was a leisure day for us and we made the most of it by shopping in Langkawi. We visited one of the famous malls of the city that had duty free shops and did quite a lot of shopping for our family and friends.
Later in the evening, our hotel had arranged a special candle light dinner for us honouring our 5 years of marriage and it was at a perfect location called the Moon Deck which was just by the sea.
The evening spent here in the sweet company of my wife and kid was beautiful and is once again hard to describe in words. But I will say one thing, it did make me very happy from the heart.
Note: Although the candlelight dinner was paid, it was worth every penny!
Day 5: A sweet goodbye!
This was the last day of our family trip to Langkawi and post one last delicious breakfast at the resort, we checked out and proceeded for the airport – back to India.
Our time spent in Langkawi will forever be cherished. This was one of those sweet escapes that we all dream off but only realize it true when it’s actually happening. From the incredible nature to adventure to shopping and the delightful company of my family – everything was perfect!
