De-board at the Ljubljana airport and either take the airport shuttle to Kranj and change the bus or take a taxi and reach straight to Lake Bohinj in Slovenia. You can always rent a car or a taxi to reach from Ljubljana to Lake Bohinj, the abundance of road transport is available for the lake starting from the city.

2. From Zagreb

You can reach Lake Bohinj from Zagreb in Croatia by the early morning bus service that starts from the Croatian capital up to the lake. Currently, this is the only international direct service to Lake Bohinj in Slovenia. Take a state/ domestic tourist bus from the Bus terminal to Lake Bohinj and then de-board at your destination just after about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Make sure that you buy the right bus ticket.

3. From Venice, Vienna, and Munich

You can either make an International road trip which would be highly costly or take an International Bus ride to the Ljubljana terminal and then from there change for your destination at Lake Bohinj. A direct bus service is rumored to have been proposed from these major urban and tourist centers near the Lake but no announcement has come regarding the same until now. Locals are hopeful about the same due to its tourism prospects.

Having reasonably warm summers and mild winters, Lake Bohinj weather is an excellent year with mild year-round temperature except in the months of December and January.
