- Day 1: A scenic drive to Pattaya
We took our flight from New Delhi, and landed early morning in Bangkok. Upon our arrival, the driver was present to receive and take us to Pattaya. We arrived in Pattaya at noon, and checked into Grand Bella Hotel. I was impressed with the infrastructure of the highways in Thailand as a distance of 150 km covered in mere 90-minutes.
Pattaya welcomed us with warm sunshine and a light breeze. After taking a comfortable afternoon nap, we had a late lunch and then wandered out to explore the local market for the evening. Later on, we returned to the hotel and called it a night.
- Day 2: Speedboat to Coral Island
Savoring The Eccentric Flavors Of Thailand: Alok, His Family, & Their Happiest Memories!
The next morning, we woke up and had a fulfilling breakfast. At 10 am, we headed towards the Jomtien Beach to catch our speedboat to Coral Island. My children found the speedboat ride thrilling and adventurous. As the boat anchored at the pier at Coral Island, we got a first glimpse of pristine white beaches.
The most beautiful beach I had ever seen, stood in front of my eyes. The island is a beautiful amalgamation of the colors blue, white, and green in their richest form to represent the water, the beach, and the hills respectively. We spent the day at the island with an included lunch in our package. We returned back from Coral Island at 5 pm and proceeded back to the hotel for the night.
- Day 3: The green roots of Nong Nuch
The next day after breakfast, we got ready for our day trip to Nong Nuch village near Pattaya. A brilliant effort made by the Thai people to preserve and flourish their flora and fauna. We arrived at Nong Nuch at 11 am, and started with exploring the Botanical Garden.
After seeing the variety of palm trees, we proceeded to catch a glimpse of beautiful animals in the zoo. Our day in Nong Nuch ended with a cultural performance at 3 pm. Later on, we arrived back at the hotel at 7 pm and rested for the night.
Bangkok: A magical dinner cruise and a safari ride!
- Day 4: Temple run in Bangkok
Two Friends On A Journey To Thailand: Fun, Adventure, & Lifetime Of Cool Memories
Post breakfast, we checked out of the hotel and proceeded back to Bangkok. We arrived in Bangkok at noon and checked into the Kingston Suite. Being the city of temples, we took a tour to the famous temples of Buddha.
We covered the beautifully constructed and divine temples like Wat Pho, Wat Phra, and Wat Arun that foray into the Buddhist culture in Thailand. We ended our day by returning to the hotel in the evening at 6 pm.
- Day 5 & 6: A thrilling safari and a magical dinner!
The day began on this family trip to Thailand, with a trip to Safari World. We left the hotel at 10 am and arrived at Safari World. It was a memorable moment for my family to enjoy a ride out into mother nature and seeing different animal species.
The final day in Bangkok began with a delicious breakfast followed by a visit to the Siam Ocean World. An unreal collection/aquarium of deep sea underwater animals that constitute our seas, made the location one of the key places to visit in Thailand. In the afternoon, we saw genius mastery at a 3D art museum in Bangkok. My kids enjoyed a lot over there as they loved getting their pictures clicked.
We returned to the hotel at 4 pm in the afternoon and got ready to wind up the family trip to Thailand with a magnificent Chao Phraya river boat cruise for dinner. The dinner cruise was fantastic, charming, and fulfilling. It gave us a beautiful view of the glimmering lights of Bangkok from few of the best vantage points in town. We got off the cruise at 10 pm at night and returned to the hotel for the night.
Thank you for the memories, Thailand!
15 Best Hotels In Thailand: The Top-Notch Luxury Havens
The next morning, we woke up and checked out of the hotel early morning at 8 am. As I looked back on our family trip to Thailand, while slowly hurdling past the security gates at the Bangkok airport, I realized how perfectly everything worked out. A beautiful vacation enjoyed by my family, that gave us lovely bouts of culture and natural beauty.
High Points:
- Visiting the 3D museum and Coral Island with my family.
Low Points:
- Hotel service was great, but the quality and size of rooms in Pattaya could’ve been better.
