Rara Lake Trek Itinerary
Here is a suggestive itinerary of your trek From Jumla to Rara Lake:
Day 1: Arrive at Jumla from Kathmandu, and head towards Padmara, where you will camp for the night.
Day 2: The next morning, you leave Padmara and embark towards Khali Langa pass, which is at an altitude of 1,161 feet. There are plenty of Rara Lake trek maps available to help you on your journey if you don’t have a guide. Along the trek, you will reach a log bridge over Shij Khola, which you need to take and then climb to Bumra.
Day 3: From Bumra, you will need to travel to Bhargaon, at an altitude of 9,482 feet, which will take about an hour and a half to cover. Travel north from there towards Ghauha Khola. From there, cross the river and climb Chautha 910,171 ft). The next pit stop after that will be Pine.
Day 4: By following the Rara Lake trekking map from Pine, you should reach Rara Lake soon, as it is located not more than 10 kilometres, to the West of Pine. This will be he best part of the trek, surrounded by beautiful views of the Rara village, where you camp for the night.
Day 5: Consider this to be your rest day to explore and get to know the place better. You will have plenty of things to do, as it takes around 8 hours to get around the lake. If you like, you can also go boating on the lake. You can camp in the same place as you did the previous night tonight.

Day 6: This is the day where you start your trek back. First, you go downstream of Khatyar Gad for an hour, and you need to cross the Murma bridge. Continue trekking down south through the beautiful forest, till you reach Ghorasain, where you will set camp for the night.
Day 7: On this day, there are two trails to choose from, the more scenic of the two being the Diyabala Danda Trek to the South, which takes about an hour to cover, through a green lush forest. From there, you need to head towards Sinja, where you will stay the night.
Day 8: Cross Sinja Khola by a log bridge and follow the stream towards the east. After crossing that and a 9,400 ft ridge, you will need to make your descent to Chere Chaur, your next pit stop, through a pleasant wide meadow.
Day 9: The trek from Chere Chaur to Jumla is an easy and pleasant one.
Day 10: You have now completed your Jumla to Rara Lake trek, and you can either take a flight back to Kathmandu or relax and explore Jumla.
