“All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware.”
Bearing this in mind, Saurav decided to go on a family trip to Sikkim where he and his family could have a great time together. For Saurabh, traveling is about self-exploration and creating everlasting memories with the family. An adventurous soul, he travels every month to quench his thirst for wanderlust.
When he asked his family members for their next holiday destination, everyone was in unison for Sikkim. The exoticness and incredibly always lure travelers to explore the North East region. The place looks so picturesque with its lush green mountains, hairpin roads, and tea plantations. It took Saurabh no time to book a 4N/5D package from TravelTriangle for his whole family.
Here is how great Saurabh’s family trip to Sikkim was:

Day 1: Scenic Road trip To Gangtok
We arrived at Bagdogra Airport in the morning and then began our car journey to Gangtok. The road trip from Bagdogra to Gangtok was an enchanting affair. We were in awe of the lush green surroundings that we could not stop ourselves from stopping and taking photos. The hairpin road bends made our car trip a roller coaster ride. We amused ourselves with customary Antakshari and other car games. We reached our hotel in the evening where we had a sumptuous dinner and hit the bed.

Day 2: Wow Moments at Nathula Pass
On our first day in Gangtok, we drove straight to Nathula, the star attraction of our trip. The pass was carpeted with ice and the whole surroundings looked so magnificent. We even came across the Chinese Army on the fence that separates India from China.
We were stupefied by the scenery at Tsomgo Lake. It was simply breathtaking. The reflection of snowy mountains in the clear waters of the lake looked so surreal. We also enjoyed riding on the Yak’s back. Babaji Mandir, which is a memorial for martyred Indian soldiers, was another eminent attraction. While returning back to the hotel, we spent some time on the Mall Road.
Day 3: Local Sightseeing in Gangtok
We started our day with a visit to the Monastery which was so quiet and peaceful. The next stop was the Flower Garden which was blooming with the fragrance of flowers of variegated colors. We went to the Ropeway to take in the sweeping views of the Gangtok valley from up above and it was ethereal.
After we had our lunch, we started for Darjeeling. The combination of rain and fresh made our otherwise long and arduous journey exciting and memorable.
Day 4: Darjeeling Sightseeing
We woke up at 4 AM to watch the beautiful sunrise at Tiger Hills but alas! We missed it due to the heavy traffic jam on the way. Nevertheless, we got to lay our eyes on the terrific views of Mt. Kanchenjunga.
In the afternoon, we went to Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park and the tea gardens. The fresh, aromatic air and the lush greenery of the plantations were very soothing to the senses. We clicked some photos around before we bought some souvenirs from the local market around for our family and friends.
Day 5: Passing through Nepal
We headed back to Bagdogra from Darjeeling via Mirik and Nepal (yes, for one good hour). Mirik is a beautiful tourist spot located in the hills of Darjeeling. If you are not strapped in time, make sure you visit this astounding place.
