Himachal is one of the best places to explore with friends and family. From mesmerizing beauty to vibrant culture and warm hospitality, it has its own charm that can only be felt when you actually visit the place. And on our friends and family trip to Himachal, we witnessed it all.
However, since we were 6 adults and 3 children traveling, managing such a long trip was a hassle-free thing for us. Thankfully though, we knew about TravelTriangle (they managed my brother’s tour to Mauritius) and as per expectations, they once again came to our rescue and gave us great multiple quotes and customized itineraries as per our needs. We selected the best package from “Vivid Himalaya”, their agent onboard and they truly did a great job in delivering us stellar services and trip management.
Here are a few details about our friends and family trip to Himachal:

Day 1: Delhi – The Capital of India
After our personal journey from Agra location, our friends and family trip to Himachal started with TravelTriangle from Delhi. We visited the India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhavan area here and it was quite an experience. There was a proud feeling in all of us and we really liked the whole clean and well-organized vibe here. Post our sightseeing in Delhi, we proceeded for Shimla via Chandigarh and reached the beautiful hill station at around 10.30 pm. We checked into our hotel, enjoyed some homemade style food and dozed off.
Day 2: Shimla -The beautiful hilly capital of Himachal Pradesh
Our hotel was located amidst the mountains and offered a majestic view of the hills all around. Later, after a hot and delicious breakfast at the hotel, we checked out of the hotel and proceeded for a visit to Kufri, which lay at an elevation of more than 4000 meters from the sea level. This was a beautiful place and the scenery here was spellbinding. It felt like we were in paradise but little did we know about the mesmerizing scenic beauty that awaited us in the coming days. We also enjoyed horse riding here and everyone especially the kids, loved it.
Post this, we proceeded for Manali, our next destination and after a twisty yet enjoyable hilly ride, we finally reached the hill station by 11 pm. Once again, after checking into the hotel, we had a nice dinner served in our hotel room only and then slept off.
Day 3: Manali – The most famous hill station in Himachal
We woke up to a view of beautiful snow covered peaks today. After our breakfast, we once again set out for sightseeing and this time, our stop was Solang Valley. The snowy mountains here were a delight to witness and the we also saw a waterfall. Later, we also got our pictures clicked in traditional Himachali outfits and overall, it was a great experience.
Next was a visit to the Himvalley Park, where we enjoyed cultural dance programs of Punjabi, Rajasthani, and Himachal. We even saw a magic show here post which we returned to our hotel and rested for the rest of the day.
Day 4: Manali – Sightseeing in Manali
Today was one hell of a day for us. Our first stop as per our Manali itinerary was the Vashishth Temple, where we visited the sulfur hot water springs. It was truly astounding to see hot water pool in such a cold place. Mother Nature is surely wonderful.
Next, we went for adventure sports in Manali and it included a daring paragliding experience which both my wife and I loved! Each moment in our 15 minute sky ride was breathtaking and thrilling and we shall surely have a hard time forgetting it.
We also visited the Hadimba Temple and the Manu Temple and later also enjoyed our time at the bustling Mall Road.

We checked into our new hotel, had dinner, and then called it a night.
Day 6: Dharamshala to Dalhousie
In the morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast in our room balcony and it was in the sweet company of lush green mountains. Later, we began our sightseeing in Dharamshala and our first stop was Bhagsu Temple and Bhagsu Falls, where we also clicked some pictures.
Post this, we started our journey towards Dalhousie which is situated at a height of 6500 mtr above sea level. The road to this hill station were winding but nonetheless, we enjoyed our journey here. On our way, we also stopped by at Khajjiar, which is also known as mini Switzerland and true to its fame, it indeed looked like a foreign location.
Later, we reached Dalhousie and checked into our hotel, which is located amidst greenery and totally loved the location of our room which had great views.

We started for Amritsar in the morning today and reached the holy city by 1 pm. Our first stop in Amritsar was the historical and famous Golden Temple and it was a very calming experience.
