By Sea: Traveling by sea is the most preferred way of reaching this beach. One can reach here by taking a boat from Jolly Buoy Island which is located nearby the beach. Jolly Buoy Island is a famous sight for snorkeling hence making Wandoor as a connecting spot.

Boats to Jolly Buoy island leave from Wandoor Beach (by 7.30am) and back (1.30-2.30pm). Little shacks for food and refreshments are dotted all over the beach – leaving no tourists wanting nothing else.

By Road: It is just 25 km away from Port Blair from where one can hop on a bus for Wandoor. It is the last bus stop from Port Blair. Buses are the easiest and cheapest way to travel here, however, if you require, you can also hire a taxi that will obviously be a costlier option. It usually takes around 1 hour to reach through a bus. Once you reach the village, it will take you just five minutes to reach Wandoor Beach.

If you wish to dive in, it is recommended that you make your visit during the summer months, i.e., between October to May. However, keep in mind it is a beautiful getaway island and not a commercial zone, therefore, one might face difficulty in finding a place to change clothes. Also, note that the island is a no-plastic zone. The place is an ideal spot for snorkeling due to its abundant coral life. Moreover, a trip from Wandoor beach to Jolly Buoy Island through a ferry, speedboat, and glass-bottom boat will also be an amazing experience. If you wish to travel to a place that is surrounded by the right amount of historic and heavenly, then add this one to your list. It will take you around 40 minutes to reach this place from Wandoor Beach. One can also avail of a ferry ride from Port Blair. In the British era, it had a jail that you can take a tour of during your visit. It is recommended to visit the place during the months of November and February. During this time, the island experiences lesser rains and moderate temperatures, hence, making it ideal for traveling.

4. Red Skin Island
