As Ruskin Bond says “Live close to nature and your spirit will not be easily broken, for you learn something of patience and resilience. You will not grow restless, and you will never feel lonely.” and we like to believe it, because it inspires us to be close to ‘nature’ which is somewhere lost when you live in the bustling cities and only happens in the countryside and when you lose yourself in the hills, that you feel more solitudinal and less lonely and there is some kind of magic in places like these that they help families connect and offer harmony! And that is exactly what Ganeshan and his family wanted. While they spent 3 days in Uttarakhand in December they felt blessed and unbeknownst to them set out major travel goals. Read about their fascinating experiences here.
The memories we made on our trip to Uttarakhand from Mumbai are something we will cherish forever! My family and I wished to go somewhere unique, somewhere that is popular yet unexploited, a place that offers peace and yet is bewitchingly beautiful and that is how we ended up planning for a trip to Uttarakhand. But then we got to thinking and came up with a concern which was, how to reach Uttarakhand from Mumbai! But we found out about the flights. And we couldn’t be happier! The destination, the trip and everything else was extraordinary and if we can say it, perfect!

Places We Visited In 3 Days In Uttarakhand In December
If you are thinking 3 days would have been oh! so less then, you might just be right but we didn’t feel that way. Our trip was wholesome and offered us some great experiences that we will like to share.
We loved this place! Situated at the foothills of the Himalayas and known as the Queen of the Hills, Mussoorie offered us experiences like never before! We visited the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Nag Devta Temple, the Mall Road, where we shopped for souvenirs and it was an absolute delight! We also visited the Jharipani Falls and Mussoorie Lake which offers picturesque views!
2. Surkanda Devi Temple
Contrary to popular opinion, there is a lot to do around Mussoor and we figured that out on the second day of our 3 days in Uttarakhand in December. We visited the Surkanda Devi Temple, the famous Adventure Park Mussoorie, and the sunset and sunrise viewpoints and the views charmed us into loving them. We absolutely loved these places!
On the third day of our trip to Uttarakhand from Mumbai we checked out early and first visited the Kempty Fall and the Municipal Garden. We also visited Gun Hill which is the second highest point in Mussoorie and then headed to Rishikesh! We visited the very renowned Laxman Jhula and then drove to Delhi.
