A little you need to know about Luzon Island
Where is Luzon location?
The site of Manila also the nation’s capital and a major metropolis is the Quezon City. Sitting in the northern part of the entire Philippine Islands’ archipelago the city is surrounded by the Philippine Sea from the east, the Sibuyan Sea from the south, and the South China Sea from its west. Only land mass surrounds the northern part of the island where the Luzon Strait bifurcates Luzon from the stretch of Taiwan.
The island is mostly a rectangular area roughly that lies in the north of Manila. It spreads in the north-south orientation. There are two peninsulas on the south of Manila: Batangas and Bicol. One extends towards the south the other towards the southeast. This bifurcation gives Luzon its extremely irregular shape.

History of Luzon Island, Philippines
Back in 1991, the journey of this island reached a significant juncture. It was then when the Mount Pinatubo in the Zambales Mountains, located about 55 miles (90 km) northwest to Manila, erupted. After this eruption the geography of this island’s central plan simply altered permanently. This resulted in a disruption of the agriculture and in the displacement of hundreds of thousands of residents.
