The slogan ‘Malaysia, truly Asia’ holds true for this Asian country as Malaysia is a melting pot of Asian cultures. An amazing travel destination, it is a country of modern cities, pretty beaches, exotic islands, and scrumptious food. And so, on their second anniversary, Novonil and his wife decided to go international and went on a romantic trip to Malaysia to celebrate the milestone that they had achieved together.
I had traveled to Malaysia earlier and really loved the country. So, this time when I got a chance and reason to travel again, I grabbed the opportunity to travel back to this amazing place with my wife. Malaysia is an awesome country with a number of beautiful islands. Thus, it gives one a chance to both relax and indulge in some adventure activities. Thus, my destination was decided and all I had to do was book this special holiday for me and my wife. We chose to travel with TravelTriangle and it was a great experience. We received a few quotes from different travel agents, chose the one that best suited us and immediately booked our trip.
The experience was quite smooth and a Whatsapp group was created for us, where we could get in touch for any queries. We got round the clock assistance, which was one of the best things I liked about TravelTriangle.

Must have experiences on a short trip to Malaysia
1. Kuala Lumpur excursion
Our anniversary trip began with us landing at Kualalumpur. It is the capital city of Malaysia and oh so beautiful. The dazzling skyline was the first thing that attracted our attention. It is an amazing place with lovely people. The locals were quite hospitable and we enjoyed touring the city. The architecture here is lovely. The city is a mix of iconic buildings and Mogul styled domes. The main attraction here was the KL Tower. The Kuala Lumpur tower is one of the tourist attractions here and it offers with panoramic views of the city. It was definitely the highlight of our city tour. Also, if you are looking for some shopping options, then Chinatown is where you can get things for really cheap prices. The products in Chinatown might not always be original but still, they last quite long.

2. Genting Highlands – A day at the casino resort
Genting Highlands was another highlight of our trip. The most thrilling part was our journey towards it. The cable car ride was amazingly beautiful. We enjoyed breathtaking views with the blue clear sky above and the tropical wild forest below during our ride to the resort. The entire ride was quite amusing and once we reached Genting Highlands, the resort itself was enormous. It is an attraction in itself. There were a lot of restaurants, shopping options, and recreational area, not to forget the casino which was the major highlight here. But keep your passport handy, as that is one major requirement to enter the casino.
3. Visit to the Langkawi Sky Bridge
Malaysia has beautiful exotic islands which make for great travel getaways. This time we visited Langkawi, an archipelago in Malaysia. It was one of the best parts of our romantic trip to Malaysia. The Langkawi Sky Bridge was the highlight of our trip. It was an amazing bridge atop the Machinchang mountain. Actually, I am at a loss for words about this attraction. Here the cable car ride was even better than Genting Highlands. And the bridge itself was breathtaking. It is nothing less but a man-made wonder. But it is overwhelming at the same time and a bit scary at times!

4. Langkawi Island Hopping
We also saved a day just for ourselves on our anniversary trip. It was our leisure day and we made the best of it. We went island hopping in Langkawi and it was one of the best experiences we had on our Malaysia trip. The beaches here are serene and pristine at the same time. They were clean and we felt like spending time there. The best part was the speed boat ride through the clear blue waters here. It was definitely a fun experience here.
Some travel tips you can take from us
There is nothing special that one needs to keep in mind when we are talking about Malaysia but the same like any other international country.
1. I think the only thing that one should do here is if possible it is better to get a sim card and stay connected with your travel coordinator. It helps a lot during emergencies.
2. Travelers should be punctual, especially if you are on a shared trip. It helps both the driver and fellow passengers.

Common queries we came across while planning out our trip
Is Malaysia expensive for tourists?
Our shopping experience here was incredible. If one is looking was cheap shopping items then head to Chinatown in Kuala Lumpur. Also, there were more than expected duty-free shops in Langkawi. Chocolates, liquor, and perfumes were our favorite things to buy from those duty free shops.
What can I bring back from Malaysia?
One can get chocolates, liquor, and perfumes from duty-free places in Malaysia.
What food is Malaysia known for?
Depending on which part of Malaysia one is in, one can find different food items. Malay, Thai & Chinese food there possess a smell which we didn’t like much, but thankfully we could find enough Indian restaurants in Kuala Lumpur. Also, in Kuala Lumpur, one can find multiple international food chains like McDonald’s, KFC, Burger King, etc. In Langkawi, we found an Arabic restaurant which was really nice. They had Indian dishes too.
What is Malaysia known for?
I think Malaysia is known for its beaches, food, and iconic buildings. And we got to enjoy all of that on our trip here.
