Taking his love for Scuba diving to his honeymoon, Agam talks about his trip to Andaman islands and elaborates on his experience there. His 5 day trip to the islands was booked via TravelTriangle and it included his flights, transfers, hotels, and sightseeing all for a cost of INR 72,000.

My wife and I both wanted to do scuba diving on our honeymoon trip and were looking for a scenic destination that would offer us the activity. Andaman fitted the description perfectly and thus our destination was chosen. All I wanted now was the land and air package for the place, thankfully a mail from TravelTriangle helped me!

As I was searching for the packages to Andaman, I noticed that TravelTriangle had already emailed me multiple quotes regarding the destination I wanted to visit. (based on my search and preferences). I realised how simple it was to book packages through them and thus gave them a shot.

True to their service, I got many quotes and we finally chose the best one from ‘Peace Andaman Tours & Travels’.

We took our flight from Delhi and reached Andaman via a connecting flight from Chennai. Port Blair was a beautiful city – nice and sunny, we felt warm and welcomed here. After being transferred to the ‘Airport Hotel,’ we got ready for sightseeing.

Our driver cum guide was an experienced fellow and had excellent knowledge about the island.
We saw theCellular Jail and it was a nice historical experience. Apart from this, we visited the beach and also indulged in some shopping.

Day 2: Havelock Island

We got up early and headed for the cruise to one of the largest islands in Andaman – Havelock. It was a delightful place and we found it to be serene, pure, and refreshing! The cruise was also a fun affair and we enjoyed all the dancing and delights on it!

Later, the driver on the island dropped us at the ‘Radhakrishna Resort’ in Havelock – a beautiful property that also had a shared beach.

In the evening, my wife and I visited the famous Radhanagar beach and enjoyed spending time with each other. Back in the hotel, we enjoyed our dinner and called it a night!

Day 3: Scuba diving in Andaman

Initially scheduled for the Elephant beach today, we did the Scuba diving instead for the beach was closed due to some reason. Scuba diving was held in a beach resort opposite to ours and was a mindblowing experience.  The feeling being completely underwater and witnessing marine life in such close proximity was awesome! Almost magical!

We were later transferred to a different hotel – ‘Gold India Beach Resort’ where we ended the day with a not-so-great candlelight dinner!

We visited the Elephant beach today and it was a beautiful experience. The white sand and the blue-green water completely mesmerized us!

After we were done with the beach, we rushed on to catch the cruise to Port Blair – scheduled on the same day! It was raining and by the time we reached the spot, the cruise was almost about to sail! We were the last ones to board it.

Subsequently transferred to the same ‘Airport Hotel’ in Port Blair, we relaxed and called it a night!

Day 5: Going back

This was our last day and we checked out early in the morning and visited 2 museums before departing for the airport for our flight back to Delhi.

Andaman was a refreshing experience for both us! Spending our honeymoon here was the right decision for we were in the lap of nature! Away from all the hustles of daily life, Andaman gave us the opportunity to know each other better amidst the serene and calm environment!

High Points – Sightseeing in Port Blair, Havelock island, Radhanagar beach, Scuba- diving, and the overall natural ambience of the place.

Low Points – There was a lack of communication as well as miscommunication from the travel agent’s side ultimately resulting in delays and frustration! I had so much expectation from the candle light dinner but it was a bad experience!(plus I had to pay half the amount extra again, due to miscommunication) The travel agent should be more responsible and supportive to the traveler.

Tips for future travelers – Andaman is a wonderful place for all those wanting to spend time in the lap of nature. The amazing weather, natural beauty, and a historical background all add to the attractive charm of the place! Go there if you want to come back home a different and more lively person!

Embrace the natural essence of Andaman! Book your package to Andaman for that fullfilling holiday experience!
