Traveling is all about rediscovering oneself and fulfilling your soul’s deepest desires. For me, traveling means finding your true self. In fact, to travel is to live!
I and my husband love to travel and explore. Being on a holiday is the best way for us to relax and de-stress. It’s the best remedy to recharge the body, mind, and soul, as well as the perfect way to spend quality time with your loved ones.
We wanted to go someplace where our 3-year old could enjoy to the fullest. And after considering many locations, we finalized upon Singapore that has a great many kid-friendly attractions.
We came across TravelTriangle over the Internet when we were looking for Singapore packages. I liked their user-friendly interface and the variety of packages on the website that we could choose from. In no time at all, various agents were sending me itineraries moulded to suit our preferences, and that’s when I closed the deal with Colourful Travel Price.
All throughout my trip, I’ve had no reason to regret my choice of agent of my decision of booking via TravelTriangle!
Our 8 Days Family Trip To Singapore
Here’s a detailed account of all the days involved:
DAY 1: Hello Singapore!
We arrived in Singapore at around 4 PM, post which we were picked up and escorted to our hotel. Since I am a vegetarian, we had opted to stay at a hotel near Little India. So, the agent had given us a stay at Parc Sovereign Albert St which turned out to be better than expected. We spent the day in the hotel itself and then took a nice long sleep in our room after a lavish dinner since we were super tired.
DAY 2: Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, and River Safari
We had a delicious breakfast in the hotel restaurant and kickstarted our family trip to Singapore at the Singapore Zoo, famous for its River Safari and Night Safari. We were dropped at the zoo well on time and we enjoyed every bit of this mini paradise.
After the zoo, we proceeded for River Safari and absolutely loved the Amazon River Quest Ride. Later, we all did Night Safari which was again a smashing aspect of the zoo.
We were hell tired after spending a long day at the zoo. But since our scheduled pick-up time for returning to the hotel was still 1 hours 15 minutes away, we decided to take the bus, which turned out to be a rather enjoyable experience. Post a lovely dinner in the hotel, we returned to our room and went off to sleep.
DAY 3: Exploring Sentosa Island!
We got ready and had a quick breakfast before hopping into our cab (shared van) for the next adventure! On this day, we were to explore Sentosa Island and we were super excited about it. Once we were in Sentosa, we started with the mandatory – getting clicked with the famous Universal Globe.
After that we went to explore the underwater world of S.E.A Aquarium, which was the best part of this Singapore family trip for our 3-year old!
After the aquarium, we took proceeded to try the various activities that delivered more fun than they had promised. We tried the exciting Skyline Luge, rode the Cable Car, met butterflies fluttering around at the Butterfly Park, played on the beach, and explored the Wings of Time.
After yet another tiring day we were picked from the Sentosa Island and dropped at Little India where we had a filling meal and returned to our hotel to sleep.
DAY 4: A wonderful City Tour and lunch at Little India
Though we were still a little tired when we woke up, our fatigue couldn’t wash away the excitement we had for the adventures that awaited us on this day. We started our City Tour with the Singapore Flyer from where we could gaze at breathtaking views of the entire city.
After that we went to the famous Merlion Park and clicked endless pictures before the famous statue of the Merlion.
We had the rest of the day to ourselves, and since we were exhausted due to the heat, we decided to head back to the hotel after having lunch at Little India. At the hotel, we had a nice long rest so that we could fully enjoy the next fun-filled day of our itinerary.
DAY 5: An invigorating visit to Universal Studios
Our son was jumping up and down with excitement on the prospect of visiting Universal Studios. And we all loved every bit of it! Our 3 year old enjoyed all the rides, shows, and was so ecstatic meeting all his favourite characters. He loved the Minions Zone so much that he still keeps talking about it!

DAY 6: Jurong Bird Park and Gardens By The Bay
On this day, we were taken to the Jurong Bird Park which was again a hit!
From the penguins feeding session, Hawk Show, Birds Show, to the parrot feeding part that my baby enjoyed a lot, the park turned out to be an unbeatably fun part of our Singapore family vacation.
Later, we visited the Gardens By The Bay which is a must-visit for everyone owing to its surreal beauty and unique outlay. While the Flower Dome was quite beautiful, the Cloud Dome of this place too our breath away!
We were even able to catch up with the Gardens By The Bay Show in the afternoon after a light rain.
DAY 7: Exploring the Bugis Street Market
We had the whole day to ourselves and we spent it by enjoying a fun swimming and splashing session in the hotel pool. Later, we went shopping and explored the Bugis Street Market post lunch.

DAY 8: Bidding farewell to Singapore!
We checked out of the hotel with a heavy heart as we did not want to leave this beautiful country and go back to our mundane lives. We were dropped at the airport well in time enabling us to board our flight with time to spare.
WOW Moments Of Our Trip: Every. Single. Bit.
Not-So-WOW Moments Of Our Trip: The first two days were quite tiring considering we had a 3-year old with us.

Tips For Future Travelers:
- Take your own water bottle everywhere you go as bottled water is really expensive in Singapore.
- Hire a wagon for the kids wherever possible, especially at the Zoo. You may find it a bit costly but it’s worth it as you will otherwise you’ll be exhausted carrying a child around in that enormous zoo.
- Do not forget to dine at Little India at least once!
- Carry change if you plan to travel by bus.
- If you’re traveling with a toddler, carry enough snacks of his choice as touring in Singapore can be very tiring.
