Oh boy, I could barely contain my excitement at the point when I held all the plans for our trip ready and printed in my hands. There were still a few weeks to it but the where what, and how had already been dreamt of!
Day 1: Razzle and Dazzle at Alcazar!
Our friends trip to Thailand began with a late night flight from New Delhi that reached Bangkok at 5 am. After clearing the customs and visa desk, we met our designated cab driver who took us straightaway to Pattaya. We reached the Ibis Pattaya Hotel at 10 am. Over there, we had to wait for a few hours to check in at noon. After we moved into our rooms, we freshened up and quickly wandered out onto the streets of Pattaya.
Post lunch, we headed straight for the Alcazar Cabaret Show which was included in our package. The Alcazar show got over at 5 pm and after that, we headed towards Jomtien Beach in Pattaya. Since we didn’t have any more sightseeing left for the first day, we asked our cab drivers to drop us at an intersection from where the beach was just walking distance. What followed after that was a fun-filled night of delicious street food, bar-hopping and partying in some of the craziest clubs in Pattaya.

Day 2: Watersports and bar hopping part 2!
The next morning of our friends trip to Thailand, we were picked up from the hotel at 8 am for a day tour of Coral Island. On our way to the Coral Island, we stopped at a few places for activities like parasailing, underwater walk, and jet skiing.
After the thrilling water sports, we arrived via speedboat (like a boss) at the stunning Coral Island. The first thing I noticed was the striking contrast of colors between the bright blue waters, white sandy beaches, and lush green tropical trees. The place was perfect for an afternoon of relaxation and rejuvenation.
Memorable Moments From Our Family Trip To Thailand
We came back to Pattaya around 3 pm and went for a late lunch to an Indian restaurant. We were craving some Indian food because we didn’t have any for almost 3 days. I was happy that this Indian restaurant had good food because, for a vegetarian like me, food options outside India are very limited.
Later on, we returned to our hotel and took a quick nap before we were out-and-about again exploring places in Pattaya. One good thing about our itinerary was that all of our activities were planned during the day, giving us the entire evening to ourselves where we would explore places and go bar hopping at our own pace.
Day 3: Off we went to the city of temples!
On the third morning of our friends trip to Thailand, we checked out from Pattaya for the return journey to Bangkok and, our cab was missing. Our driver was very late in arriving and due to that, we were stranded in the hotel lobby for a few hours. Those few hours felt like days because there was no AC in the hotel lounge. We needed that especially after being drained out from a night of partying.
After getting over that hurdle, we reached Bangkok and started with some sightseeing by visiting the Golden Buddha Temple and Marble Temple. Later on, we took a cab to the Woraburi Sukhumvit Hotel & Resort and checked into our rooms. Thankfully, the hotel was centrally located and had comfortable rooms. In the evening, we again went out to explore and witness the options for shopping and nightlife in Bangkok.

Day 4: Meet and greet with Giraffes!
On the penultimate day of our friend’s trip to Thailand, we began the day with a trip to Safari World. A fun-filled day spent meeting and viewing different types of animals like elephants, ostriches, lions, and giraffes. We had a tasty packed lunch included in our itinerary which we had after we got done with all the afternoon shows at Safari World. We returned to our hotel at 4 pm. In the evening, we visited a few street markets in Bangkok to do some shopping. The markets in Bangkok were very enticing as there were a lot of things that we bought like bags, clothes, souvenirs, and junk jewelry.

Day 5: A rejuvenating spa to end our epic friends trip to Thailand
We had a little bit of a miscommunication for the cab pick-up again on the final day of our friends trip to Thailand. We thought the cab would pick us up at noon for the airport transfer, but at 11.30 we got to know that the cab will come at 4 pm. Therefore, in our spare time, we went out to a market in Bangkok for a spa and followed that with lunch. Later on, we arrived at the airport to board our 7 pm flight back to New Delhi.
Despite all the questions surrounding visiting Thailand, it is indeed a safe place for female travelers. We partied every day and felt comfortable in walking back to our room even at midnight. We would’ve liked to visit more places on our sightseeing tour in Bangkok, but our tour only had two places listed in the itinerary.

- Giraffe feeding was one activity no one should miss after going to the Safari world
- The nightlife in Pattaya was insane and it added a sparkle to our otherwise chilled out friends trip to Thailand.
Low point:
- The coordination between the representative from TravelTriangle and on-field agents need too much better so as to avoid any miscommunication during transfers.
Tip to travelers:
- Bangkok is better than Pattaya for shopping. Pattaya is better known for the scenic beauty of its tropical beaches and the buzzing nightlife scene which has all kinds of Irish, Indian, and continental bars, cafes, and pubs.
