We were planning our honeymoon and like all couples, wanted an out of the world experience on our special holiday. Thankfully, we were able to fulfill it all because of a mesmerizing destination called Andaman.

Always wanting a tropical kind of honeymoon – we mutually agreed that Andaman was an ideal choice for us. All that was left now was a value for money Andaman honeymoon package and thanks to Facebook, we found it.

TravelTriangle, as mentioned earlier, was found on Facebook and did a brilliant job in customizing our Andaman package as per our requirements. The travel agents that were connected to us via TravelTriangle sent us various quotes and itineraries and soon we chose the best one from “Peace Andaman Tours & Travels” and were sorted.

A Romantic Blissful Escape Into Nature: Honeymoon In Andaman

Our flight from New Delhi to Andaman (Port Blair) was a connecting one and was overall a smooth experience. Upon our arrival the airport in Port Blair which appeared even smaller than a railway station, my wife and I were greeted by the agent’s driver who welcomed us warmly.

Andaman was beautiful and at our first glance, we somehow had a feeling that this place would give us great memories.

After the driver had transferred us to our hotel, we checked and rested for another 2 hours before proceeding on for sightseeing in Port Blair which included a visit to the Cellular Jail. This visit was a unique one since we learned all about the history of the place and later even attended a sound and light show about the same.

Hotel Review: Hotel Haywizz (Port Blair) – This was a nice hotel with excellent service. We had all our meals here and were not at all disappointed with the food quality and taste. Great place!

Day 2: A fun day at Rose Island, North Bay Island, & Corbin’s Cove beach

This one was more like an island hopping day where we visited three islands namely North Bay island, Rose island, and Corbin’s Cove Beach.
The good part was that all of these were at a distance of 20 min from Port Blair and since our ferry was pre booked – distance was not a problem at all.

Utsav Took A Honeymoon Trip To Andaman And It Was Beyond Perfect!

Rose Island: This was a very very picturesque experience. It was one those islands we see in magazines and believe me, it was even more beautiful than that. We really enjoyed the scenic beauty here.

North Bay island Andaman: This place is more famous for water activities in Andaman. I tried underwater sea walk here (my wife was too afraid to do so), and it was an out of the world experience. The instructors were very good and guided me well. The underwater beauty and marine life that I saw will be forever etched in my mind.

Corbin’s Cove: The beach experience here too was excellent. My wife and I got to spend a few private moments in the serene ambiance of the ocean and it felt too good to be true.

Overall, the day was spent very well.

Day 3: Welcome to the Havelock Island

Havelock cruise

This day in the morning, we once again paid a visit to the Cellular Jail for some leftover sightseeing post which we returned to our hotel for the check out. Next up was Havelock island and for that we boarded our pre-booked ferry. We boarded the ferry at around 12 pm and reached the island at around 3 pm.

In Havelock once again, there was the agent’s driver who received us and transferred us to our hotel – Symphony Palm Beach Resort.

Hotel Review: This was a pretty good property and had its own beach. The room that we had booked was nice and big and overall we spent our rest of the day here and completely loved it.

We clicked a lot of pictures here and in the evening went out to enjoy a walk on the beach.

Day 4: Snorkeling our way to happiness

sightseeing in havelock

Another exciting day for us, our first stop for sightseeing in Havelock was the Elephant beach where I once again indulged in a water activity –  snorkeling and I loved it! I had specifically asked the instructor to take me deeper for the activity and he did and I was lucky to spot a baby turtle. It was the best feeling since it was a very rare sight at that point of time.

Also the snorkeling experience was spot on too. Overall, the activity was extremely enjoyable and was liked by my wife too even though she did not do it.

Next up was Radhanagar beach and it was one of the cleanest beaches I had ever come across. Even though it was not as beautiful as the rose beach, it had its own charm that cannot be matched by anything else.

In the night, there was a special candlelight dinner planned for us and it was amazing. The dinner arrangement was fantastic and the waiters were very courteous and nice. They even had an electric candle arranged for us since it was windy, something which I thought was very considerate.

The overall experience was excellent and was one of the best moments of our honeymoon trip to Andaman.

Day 5: Some of the most special moments were spent in the solitude of Neil Island

A Heaven Like Honeymoon In Andaman: Of Beaches, Romance, And Natural Beauty

We were to stay at Neil island today so in the morning after breakfast, we checked out and proceeded to the ferry for the trip. Neil island was perhaps the best place for us. It was very clean, beautiful, and secluded. We also visited the Howrah Bridge and this was too an amazing experience. The rest of our day was spent roaming around the island on our own which was mostly covered in greenery. Wherever we went, we found mesmerizing views and solitude, it was bliss! Spending quality time with my wife here was one of the best experiences ever!

We reached Port Blair at around 2 pm and checked into our hotel. The rest of the day was spent in leisure – resting and roaming around on our own.

Day 7: Doing sightseeing in Andaman on our own

A Spur Of The Moment Trip To Andaman That Turned EPIC With Friends

In the morning today after breakfast, we visited the famous Chidiya Tapu. We had gone by road and it took us half an hour to reach there. This was once again a good experience and like all the beaches and islands in Andaman – we loved the scenic views from here.

Scenic beauty in port blair

After the visit, we returned to Port Blair, freshened up a bit and then rented a bike to roam around the city on our own.

Since we had really liked the Corbin’s Cove beach earlier, we decided to visit the place once again and soak in its serenity and beauty one last time. Needless to say, it was enchantingly peaceful.
During all this time, we also came across two restaurant chains – Annapurna & Ananda which served delicious Indian food. I would recommend all to eat here if they are looking for authentic north and south Indian food.

Finally, we returned to our hotel and called it a night.

Tip: Renting a bike cost us INR 500 for a day excluding the fuel which we had to bear.

Day 8: Goodbye Andaman, you were love at first sight and will always be!

Nature of Andaman

This was our last day and after breakfast, we checked out of the hotel at 10 am to catch our flight which was scheduled for 12 pm.

Mayank and his wife on their final day in Andaman

Overall, our honeymoon in Andaman was a fantastic affair. The natural ambience acted as a perfect catalyst to our romance resulting in some great memories that will be etched in our hearts forever. Andaman you were a delight!

Things we loved in Andaman:

  • Neil Island was a delight for us since it offered us perfect solitude in the lap of nature.
  • Our candle light dinner was very romantic and its special memories will forever stay with us.
  • All the water activities were extremely enjoyable.

Things that we didn’t like:

  • Our ferry from Port Blair to Havelock (called Green Ocean) was nice but the staff mishandled our luggage.

Tips for travelers:

  • Andaman is a perfect destination for honeymooners and nature lovers. It has a lot to explore and offers a pristine natural experience. Would recommend all to atleast visit this destination once in a lifetime.
