Divulge yourselves in the splendid account of Ravi as he ventures out on a family trip to Singapore. The time he spent on the vibrant island of Singapore resonated in the vivacious images and enticing travel story he shared with us. The trip cost him a total of INR 2,87,000 which included their flights, transfers, accommodation, sightseeing, and breakfast.
My family and I wanted to go on an international vacation somewhere in Asia. We selected Singapore because of the proximity and things to do the wonderful island has to offer. I got to know about TravelTriangle through my cousin who took a package with them earlier and was very satisfied with his vacation.
I submitted a query to TravelTriangle and got a revert back for the same from their travel representative. Shuvojyoti understood my requirements and connected me to various agents providing multiple offers for the same package. I chose the best package given to me by ‘D’organizers’ agency.
My wife and parents were particularly excited about this trip. It would be a much needed break for all of us to spend time together in a relaxed and wonderful scenario.
Day 1: Landing In Singapore
We boarded our flight from Ahmedabad in the morning, and traveled via Mumbai to arrive in Singapore at 6 pm. After clearing the security checks, the driver was present to receive and take us to the hotel. The drive from the airport to the hotel gave us a good glimpse of how modern and glamorous Singapore is. We checked into the hotel at 9 pm and rested in for the night.

The next day we woke up and got ready for the Singapore city tour. The shared coach came to pick us up at 9 am to begin the city tour. My daughter was visibly enthusiastic seeing the new and different places we started to visit. The city tour gave us a glimpse into the blend of culture with modernity Singapore is known for. Merlion Photoshop, Raffles Landing, Fountain of Wealth, Little India, and Chinatown were the key places we visited during the tour.
The tour got over at 2 pm and we directly got transferred to Sentosa Island. A very popular island resort in Singapore, Sentosa was just the thing I wanted after a hectic month at work. I found out about a big irony in the island’s name ‘Sentosa’ which translates to ‘peace and tranquility’. Upon arriving to Sentosa, the party atmosphere sends the island name for a big toss.
We visited popular attractions like Wings of Time, Sea aquarium and casino. We departed from Sentosa Island, back to the hotel in a cab at 9 pm. Post dinner, we were tired and called it a night.
Day 3: Dreams come true in Universal Studios
The next morning we had breakfast, and got ready for Universal Studios. The cab was present to take us to the theme park at 9 am. This was the day, we were waiting for with a lot of anticipation. The place is renowned for its top notch theme park attractions and roller coaster rides like Shrek 4D Adventure, Madagascar, Far Far Away Castle, and Revenge of the Mummy.
Despite it being a weekday, there were plenty of Indians present on the account of it being a holiday week back home. I loved the Sci-Fi and Hollywood themed zones which brought the authentic experience of the movies I love to watch. After an adventurous day at Universal Studios, we proceeded back to the hotel at 9 pm.
Day 4: A date with mother nature at Gardens By The Bay

This morning, we had breakfast and got ready for our sightseeing day. First up, we visited Jurong Bird Park at 10 am via our taxi. We were amazed and thrilled to see hundreds of bird species living inside a mini forest created especially for them.
Post lunch, we proceeded to Gardens by the Bay. The moment we stepped in, a feeling of having traveled 100 years ahead of our time. The garden was surreal in a way how thousands of plant species have been grown in one small area of a town. Just to walk inside the humongous gardens surrounded by a sea of was memorable.
We exited the Gardens at 7 pm and we traveled to Bugis Street, the biggest shopping street in Singapore, for a delicious dinner. Afterwards, at 10 pm we returned to the hotel and rested for the night.
Day 5: Ending the vacation on a shopping spree
We didn’t have much planned for the first half of the day, so we woke up late and did things at our own pace. At noon, we went to Bugis Street and Mustapha Mall for some souvenir shopping. My family and I enjoyed an extended shopping spree before returning to the hotel in the evening.
At 6 pm, the cab came at the hotel to take us for Night Safari. A fascinating chance to see animals in their natural habitat at night. After a 40-minute safari, where we went up close with lions, tigers, and deers, we proceeded to see a small 20-minute presentation on nocturnal animals. We departed from the Night Safari at 10 pm back to the hotel and rested for the night.
Day 6: Flying back home
After spending 5 unforgettable days in Singapore, it was time we checked out of the hotel. We were dropped at the airport at 9 am from where we boarded our flight back to Ahmedabad.
Having spent 5 days there, I had a realization that the real beauty of Singapore, for me, is not in the food, high-rise buildings, or super fast trains. It is in the cultural diversity, futuristic places, and a vibrant society that makes this country so special. Our family has a new perspective on travel after visiting Singapore which makes the entire journey one for the ages.
