Rahul takes us on a romantic journey to Andaman that exhibits the simple and crisp details of pristine nature the beautiful islands have to offer. Their honeymoon cost them a total of INR 40,000 which included their transfers, accommodation, sightseeing, and breakfast.

Andaman had been on my bucket list for a long time. Hence, after my wife and I unanimously agreed on going on our honeymoon to Andaman, I got down to doing the groundwork. I landed on the TravelTriangle website after doing searching on the internet for honeymoon packages to Andaman.

Day 1: Revisiting the history of Port Blair

Corbyn Cove green landscape

We arrived in Port Blair early morning where the driver was present to receive and drop us to Hotel GB Oceanic. After checking in, we had breakfast and took a quick nap at the hotel. At 2 pm, the driver came to pick us up for our Cellular Jail tour. Visiting the jail turned museum gave us a stark reminder of the atrocities committed by the Britishers in the colonial era.

Next up, we paid a short visit to the quaint Corbyn Cove. After spending some time on the beach watching the sunset, we returned to Cellular Jail for the light and sound show. It was a display of the Indian freedom struggle which created an almost life like atmosphere inside the jail complex.

We returned to the hotel at 10pm, and upon our arrival the hotel had arranged a wedding cake and decorations for us at the room. A small but lovely gesture from the hotel which made our welcome special in Andaman.

Day 2: Witnessing the overwhelming beauty of Radhanagar Beach

Entering at the Havelock Island pier

The next morning, we checked out of Port Blair and boarded the cruise to Havelock Island at 8 am. After a two-hour journey, we arrived at Havelock island and checked into El Dorado resort at 11 am. We loved that the resort was that the beach was merely a 2-minute walk away. As we walked to the beach, we were greeted with a scenic view of Mangrove trees, white sand and blue waters.

At 2 pm, we were taken to visit the wonderful Radhanagar beach. I enjoyed walking barefoot through the forest area onto the huge sandy area leading up to the coast which is a nice place to take a swim. Being a huge beach, Radhanagar gives you a lot of personal space on the beach to walk, enjoy and relax. We left the beach at 5.30 pm after seeing the sunset.

Magical sunset at Havelock

After arriving, the hotel had arranged a candlelight dinner for us which was the exclamation mark to a magical day in Havelock. Post dinner, we returned to our room and rested for the night.

Day 3: Scuba love in Havelock

Exploring the marine life in Andaman

Scuba Diving In Andaman: 15 Unexplored Sites To Unravel The Colors Of The Ocean

To add a pinch of adventure in this magical trip, my wife and I decided to do scuba diving in Havelock. At 7 am, we went for scuba diving which was a magical experience. Experiencing different corals and beautiful fishes swimming around us in the best diving spot in India was truly a privilege.

After scuba diving, we made a quick pit stop at the hotel to change and straightaway went to Elephanta beach. The water at that place was the brightest shade of blue we had ever seen. If only we had a beach house at this place. Sigh. There were also a lot of water sports activities happening at the Elephanta beach like jet skiing and snorkeling.

Scenic Mangrove trees

We returned to the hotel at 3 pm and had a nice time sitting at the Mangrove tree and seeing the water flow right underneath you from the high tide. We spent the evening at the hotel resting and retired early for the night.

Day 4: Exploring Neil Island

Dream locations in Andaman

Next morning, after having a light breakfast we checked out of Havelock at 8 am. We were supposed to board the cruise ferry at 9 am. However, the ferry came 3 hours late due to some maintenance issues. Better late than sorry I guess.

We arrived in Neil Island and were taken to view the natural rock bridge, followed by the beautiful Laxmanpur beach. Post lunch, we proceeded back to the pier to take a ferry back to Port Blair at 4 pm. Neil Island is a good place to stay for people who want a quiet, more secluded stay. After arriving in Port Blair via cruise at 7 pm, we checked into the hotel and rested for the night.
