It had been long since my parents left their routine lives behind and visited a different part of the world. So when I thought we finally had the chance, I stepped up to make that happen!
Singapore is the perfect place for a rejuvenating trip with your family. The amount of fun and thrill it offers is matchless and knows no bounds. Upmarket, chic, and courteous, Singapore gave me no reason to regret my decision later, but then so didn’t TravelTriangle!
A few hours after I had sent forward a trip request on their website, calls started coming in and we started getting carried away with the prospects put forth by every travel agent on the other of the phone for the most amazing family trip to Singapore. We closed the deal with Goodwill Holidays who provided us fairly whatever we wanted on our trip within our budget.
Steal A Peek Into Our 5 Days Singapore Holiday Itinerary
Day 0: Nagpur – Bangalore – Singapore
We started from Nagpur and had our connecting flight from Bangalore. Though the air journey was rather long and hell tiring because of lack of leg space and entertainment options, the views of Singapore from the top totally made up for it!
Day 1 | Arrival In Singapore
We reached Singapore early morning at around 4 AM and were picked up by our driver-cum-guide at about 7:45 AM. After checking into the hotel (the management charged a nominal fee for early check-in), we proceeded to our rooms for freshening up and then enjoyed a delicious spread of buffet breakfast at their restaurant.
Best Places To Visit On A Family Trip To Singapore
After spending the entire afternoon in the hotel – lounging in our rooms and exploring the hotel premises – we were picked up for our Night Safari in the evening. The safari at the world’s first nocturnal zoo amid different types of animals and forests was absolutely fascinating. It turned out to be a better experience than what we had imagined! After our Night Safari, we returned to our hotel to catch up on some delicious dinner and sleep.

In the morning we were escorted to the Universal Studio at 9 AM by our driver-cum-guide. The number and variety of rides and themed attractions in this enchanting piece of the world is simply amazing. Me and my family had a gala time and got to relive our childhood amidst the various attractions.
To add more fun to our Singapore family vacation, we proceeded to the Gardens By The Bay and the Marina Bay at our own expense and simply spent our time roaming around in this charming part of Singapore.

Tip: The Universal Studio tour is only from 10 AM to 5 PM. Customize your tour to extend the time till 9 PM so that you can also enjoy a visit to the Sentosa Island.
Day 3 | Chinatown & Cruising
After a sumptuous breakfast, we proceeded to Chinatown in a shuttle bus provided by the hotel. Chinatown in Singapore happens to be an ethnic enclave that features distinctly Chinese cultural elements like Chinese food, handicraft stores, cafes, shopping centres, and a pleasing ambience. After hopping about in Chinatown, we proceeded to the next thing on your family holiday in Singapore – the cruise!
Later in the afternoon, we were picked up for our cruising experience. We checked into Cruise Star Gemini at 4:30 PM and finally boarded the cruise at 6 PM. The cruise was a relatively pleasant experience and the staff was very courteous and friendly. After we had gulped down our delicious and refreshing welcome drinks, we were treated to a lot of entertaining programmes onboard.
Things To Do On A Family Trip To Singapore And Malaysia
Sailing through the towering skyscrapers of Singapore, we lost ourselves in the burst of music, lights, dance, and merrymaking aboard the ship.
Day 4 | Making The Most Of Our Cruising Experience
We woke up to a beautiful morning aboard Star Gemini and indulged ourselves in a hearty, lavish breakfast prepared by their skilled chefs. The food at all the restaurants of the cruise – Marine, Dynasty, Ocean, Blue Lagoon, Bella Vista – was simply amazing. Being hardcore foodies, we totally loved every single masterpiece that came out of their kitchens and onto our platters.
Apart from dining like kings and queens, we enjoyed the different programmes that were held aboard for the guests. From yoga, disco, karaoke, to circus shows, there was no end to the enjoyment we had on the cruise.
Family Trip To Singapore: Fun, Entertainment, & A Lot Of Fun!
We were spoilt for choice with the number of facilities available for the delight of guests – a luxe jacuzzi, a shopping mall, and a swimming pool among others. Everything was perfectly arranged and well taken care of by the cruise management.
Day 5 | Bidding Farewell With A Heavy Heart
Our 5 day Singapore family trip was finally over and it was time to head home. We checked out from the hotel and were escorted to our hotel by our driver-cum-guide whom we thanked for his courteous services throughout the trip before bidding him farewell. Unfortunately, our flight got cancelled and we had to go through immigration procedure to sort out the mess. However, the prompt staff came to our rescue and the matter was taken care of, post which we were booked into a different flight and we reached home the next day.
From hopping about in Universal Studios, buying Chinese trinkets at Chinatown, to lavishly cruising the waterways of Singapore, this charming city gave us numerous opportunities to bond over a well-planned Singapore trip by TravelTriangle.
