Day 1: Arrival At Port Blair & A Walk Into The Historical Past
We started the first day quite early in the morning around 3.30 AM as our flight from Bangalore was at 6.20 AM enroute Chennai. We reached Port Blair around 10.45 AM and my wife was quite thrilled by her first flight experience.
As soon we arrived at the Port Blair Airport, we met the representative from Experience Andaman who was holding a board with my name. They took us to the prebooked Hotel Shompen in a SUV and it was quite a decent hotel. We took rest for a while and had lunch in the hotel’s itself.

In the afternoon by 3 PM, the representative from Experience Andaman took us for touring the Cellular Jail and it was indeed an incredible experience. Though we spent a nice time there we thought that the Light & the sound show was not up to our expectations.
Later in the night, our trip coordinator met us at the hotel and explained the whole itinerary for the next day. Also, I must mention that he was very cooperative in making changes in the itinerary on the spot as per our needs.
Day 2: Touring The Havelock Island
On the second day, we finished our breakfast early and headed towards the port to board the ferry and reach our next destination of Havelock Island. It took about two hours for the beautiful ferry ride to get over and the moment we stepped onto Havelock, it was inexplicable.
Upon arrival, we checked-in at the prebooked Hotel Symphony at Havelock which was a very beautiful resort. It not only featured individual wooden cottages but also offered an amazing ambience.

Post finishing the check-in process, and resting for a while, we visited one of the world’s best and beautiful – the Radhanagar beach. Though we didn’t go much deeper into waters, we still enjoyed the beautiful vistas by the shore which were unforgettable indeed.
On the way back, we indulged in a bit of shopping therapy. We bought some memorable souvenirs from the little shops set along the shoreline of the beach to take back with us.
Day 3: Speed Boating, Snorkeling, And A Surreal Sunset
On the third day of our holiday in Andaman, we went on to visit the Elephanta Beach from Havelock in a speedboat. It was a thrilling ride and it was a whole new experience at the Elephanta beach. Famous for the exciting watersports, we got the keys to the lockers as soon as we reached there.
Later we kept the luggage inside the lockers and went on to enjoy free snorkeling. However, we took a couple package of snorkeling which felt like once-in-a-lifetime experience to witness the corals and beautiful fishes. Post that, we enjoyed by the beach for sometime and then captured some beautiful memories!

In the evening, we took the ferry back to Port Blair and to our surprise, this time we got the Royal seats which was very comfortable. In addition to that, our experience became even better when we were allowed to view the mesmerising sunset from the balcony of the ferry. It was indeed one of the best experiences of our holiday in Andaman.
Upon arriving at the dropping point at Port Blair, we were taken to the prebooked J Hotel, which was indeed a much better hotel than where we were staying earlier in the capital city. We later finished the check-in process, and called it a night at the hotel post dinner.

Day 4: Baratang Island, Limestone Caves, And Much More!
The fourth day of our holiday in Andaman was dedicated for touring the Ross Island but we changed it to visit Baratang island. Hence, we started early in the morning by 3 AM and queued up near the checkpost.
The journey through the reserved forest was wonderful and we were fortunate enough to have witnessed the tribe of Jarawa passing by as they were returning from a journey. On reaching the Baratang Island, we visited the Limestone cave through a speed boat and went on to experience the forest walk, which was a nice experience indeed.

Later we also visited the mud volcanoes which was an average experience when compared to the rest of the attractions in Andaman. However it was a nice experience, and we later returned to the hotel in the evening.
Day 5: Adios Andaman!
Finally the day had arrived when we had to say adios to Andaman with a heavy heart. We finished the formalities at the hotel and on our way to the airport, we visited the Chatham Saw Mill, and the Anthropological Museum to make use of the time in hand.
Having spent these five days in Andaman, we realized that it is indeed one of the best beach destinations in India and a must for couples to explore. Later we had lunch, and the driver dropped us to the airport, and we were soon on our way back home on a safe return journey!
