The region is adorned with fluttering colorful prayer flags and prayer wheels that are spun by monks. Settled amidst huge mountains, Ladakh is a place that you will find in every traveler’s bucket list. Just like others, Bhuwan Anand had this place in his mind for a vacation for a very long time. He decided to explore this place with his wife in the month of May, booked a tour package with TravelTriangle and planned a Ladakh itinerary of 5 days. Bhuwan was excited to share his experience with his fellow travelers so let’s see how his excursion to Ladakh turned out to be.

I have always loved mountains and whenever I get time from my busy schedule, I plan a trip to one of the hill stations. This time, I wanted to explore Leh and Ladakh with my wife. We both were quite tired with our hectic lifestyle and wanted a retreat away from the humdrum of city life. So, we started surfing the internet for travel packages and selected TravelTriangle from all. The reason to select this company was that it provided customization in their packages, that is, we could replace one destination from the other. Ladakh Tourist Spots That We Covered

We tried to cover almost all the places in Leh & Ladakh and made new memories to cherish forever. Take a quick rundown at this list of places that we visited in 5 days in Ladakh.

    1. Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace

    At Shanti Stupa Leh
    Leh Town
    Hotel Changla - leh

As we started our trip from Leh, first we went to explore the famous Santhi Stupa which is one of the forms of Peace Pagoda. This dome-shaped stupa is considered as a ‘symbol of peace’ according to Buddhist teachings. Ladakh is home to many such stupas that are believed to maintain the peace of this place. There was no noise here and we experienced a calmness in our souls. Another stop that we made in Leh was at the Leh Palace which is a nine-storied building designed for a royal family of Ladakh. To capture the royalty of this palace we clicked umpteen photos for future memories.

We knew that Khardung La Pass is one of the best places to visit in Ladakh as it is named as the highest motorable road as it is situated at an altitude of 18,379 feet. We clicked some pictures here and passed on to the Nubra Valley that is a sight to behold. The beauty of this valley left us struck in awe and all we did was spend some private time together.

    3. Pangong Tso Lake

    Pangong Lake Ladakh

As we planned our trip to Ladakh in the month of May, the frozen Pangong Lake melted and we could admire the beauty of the greenish-blue waters. We also got a chance to see the shooting spots of the famous movie – 3 Idiots. Both of us loved this place a lot and clicked many photos here.

    Our Hotels In Ladakh

Our hotels provided services and hospitality beyond expectations. In Leh, we stayed at the Hotel Chalung that provided some great services. The best part about this hotel was its location. I was situated near the local Leh market and so we went for a stroll in the evening in this market. On our Ladakh vacation, we also got a chance to stay at a deluxe camp. And our last hotel was Pangong Holiday Shore where we rested well and rejuvenated ourselves.

    How To Reach Ladakh

You can take a flight to Leh (Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport) and reach anywhere in the whole city by hired taxis (personal and sharing). Now there is a direct train from Delhi to Leh, and you can take that to reach it in no time at all. The station is in Keylong and it is connected to other places by shared taxis.
