wVisiting Leh Ladakh was always in our bucket list and we made it happen on our second wedding anniversary – couldn’t have chosen a better time! We’re also glad that we chose the month of February, as the place is at its best during this time. We were aware of the harshness of the weather and all the prospective hindrances that could appear before us and this is why the three of us went completely prepared. Being with the best company at one of the best locations in India was like a dream come true!
During the difficult moments (especially when the weather wasn’t favorable), the locals came forth to help us without thinking twice. This made our friends trip to Leh Ladakh all the more memorable and extremely special. Everything was covered without any hassle and that too right under the budget that we decided. From going for sightseeing and absorbing the picturesque wonders of nature to exploring the shops and buying stuff for which the place is famous, we made sure we didn’t leave any aspect of the city untouched.

1. Great Hospitality
On our arrival, we were greeted with utmost politeness by a representative sent by TravelTriangle who took us to one of the best hotels in Leh. Since we didn’t have any plans on the day of arrival, we rested through the day after the check-in. However, we were completely awe-struck by the sheer beauty and serenity of the city of Leh.
2. Our Encounter With The Men Of Indian Army
The most amusing part of our trip was the encounter with the Indian army. Talking to them was an altogether new and unique experience. It was very motivational too. We asked them about their experience of serving the country from this part, that is, Ladakh. We wished them all the luck and thanked them for their dedication!
3. An Intriguing Holy Shrine – Gurudwara Patthar Sahib
This was a famous Gurudwara that is located on the road between Leh and Srinagar. Specially established to pay respect to Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. We arrived here while touring for imparting the invaluable teachings of Sikhism. We learnt about the mythological chronicles associated with this shrine and each one of us was taken aback by the immense belief the people here hold towards Guru Nanak Dev Ji. This sightseeing experience was certainly amongst the most enthralling ones.

The lake was at a good distance and therefore most of the day involved traveling to this amazing tourist attraction. This is one of the most picturesque lakes in Ladakh. The traveling part didn’t bog us down because we were busy admiring the picturesque landscapes. This is when we also got to witness the famous Chang La Pass, which is considered to be the 2nd highest motorable road of the world! On our visit to the lake, we understood why this location is one of the most sought-after places in Ladakh. We were completely absorbed by the beautiful azure waters enveloped by the breathtaking hills.
5. The Highest Motorable Road – Khardung La Pass
Khardung La Pass leads you to the Nubra Valley and is the highest motorable road in the world! The fact literally took us by surprise! It is located at a height of 18,380 feet and the feeling we underwent on our visit is simply indescribable. It lies at a distance of 39 kilometers from the city of Leh and has two checkpoints on the either side. This is one of those experiences that made our trip to Leh Ladakh worthwhile.

We ended our day by exploring the various shops from where we bought a lot of stuff that you can only find here. We must say, the quality of the products depicts the expertise of the artisans here.
