The islands of Indonesia have a certain kind of allure and charm unlike no other. Adding a Balinese touch to long lasting love and companionship made Mayank’s honeymoon trip to Bali a remarkable adventure. Their 5 nights/6 days trip cost them a total of INR 1,02,400 which included their flights, accommodation, transfers, breakfast, sightseeing, and cruise.
I browsed through many websites but I could not find an ideal package meeting my requirements. My friend recommended TravelTriangle where I could customize and a build a package from scratch. I submitted a query on their website and got a call back for the same.
Nishant from TravelTriangle understood my needs for a Bali honeymoon package and redirected me to various travel agents providing multiple offers for the same. I got the best deal through ‘ D’Organizers.com’ travel agency.
I could almost picture myself soaking the sun on the exotic beaches in Bali. Having patiently planned this trip for a few months, the moment of our departure became all the more exciting and energized.
Day 1: A warm welcome to Bali
We boarded our flight from New Delhi late in the night and arrived in Bali at noon. The feeling of being in such a paradise wasn’t sinking in yet. I asked Mayank, the traveler to pinch me. He didn’t. Bali was certainly happening.
A driver was present to pick us up from the airport in Denpasar and drop us at Sun Boutique Hotel in Kuta. We received a warm welcome at the hotel as we checked in and settled in our comfortable rooms. In the evening, we went outside exploring the market to get the feel of Balinese culture. After having dinner in a restaurant, we returned to our room for the night.
Day 2: Thrill of water sports in Tanjung Benoa
The next day, we got ready for a thrilling day of watersports in Bali. The driver took us to the Tanjung Benoa beach, which was a 45-minute ride from the hotel. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the water activities like jet skiing and parasailing. The view from the top of the Tanjung Benoa coastline while parasailing was heavenly.
Post lunch, we visited the Turtle Island via glass bottom boat. On our way to the island, we saw many kinds of fish. It was charming seeing schools of fishes gliding underneath our boat. We returned back to the hotel post sunset and got ready for the dinner cruise.
One of the highlights of our honeymoon trip to Bali was the dinner cruise. We boarded the cruise at 7 pm. The luxurious gentry present at the dinner event coupled with a scenic cruise ride was a moment I would never forget. At 10 pm, we disembarked from the boat and returned to the hotel for the night.
Day 3: Mystical temples of Bali
The next morning, we had a delicious breakfast and got ready for the temple tour. The driver took picked us up from the hotel and after 3 hours we arrived at the Bedugul temple. The first impressions I received of the temple was like a scene from the Lara Croft Tomb Raider movie. Located besides a scenic lake and green hills in the backdrop, the Bedugul temple is a sight for sore eyes.
After spending a couple of hours at Bedugul, we moved to another prominent place to do sightseeing in Bali. We arrived at the Tanah Lot temple around 4 pm. A beautiful structure constructed on top of a huge rock at the coastline, Tanah Lot is known to provide one of the most scenic sunsets in Bali. Later on, we arrived back to the hotel at 8 pm and called it a night.
Day 4: Lush green ambiance of Ubud and Kintamani
The next day, we were scheduled to visit the vibrant city of Ubud. We checked out of the hotel in Kuta and headed towards Ubud. After arriving in Ubud at 11 am, we checked into the Alam Puri Villa in Ubud. Afterwards, we headed out towards the Ubud market for lunch and some local street shopping. Apparently, Ubud had a lively shopping scene for the tourists.
Next up at 3 pm, we visited the Monkey forest. It was nice catching up with our ancestral mammal while not having to worry about being bitten, harassed, or both. Afterwards, we returned back to our villa for some relaxation in the evening, and enjoying time in the villa pool with my wife.
