2. Castle Frederiksborg
Built on three islands, this historic castle is flanked by gorgeous lakes and gardens. Castle Frederiksborg has been housing the National History Museum since 1878.
A tour of the many lovely rooms of the museum is a meeting with monarchs, queens, aristocrats, bourgeoisie, events and eras, all of which have influenced the history and development of the country from the middle Ages to the 21st century. 3. The David Collection
The museum has three perpetual collections, the core of which dates from the days of its founder, C. David. The Islamic Art Collection comprises dreamy ornamental artwork from the 7th to the middle of the 19th century from a locality stretching from Spain in the west to China in the East.

4. Den GamleBy
If you are looking for Denmark museums that are exclusively known for their historical richness, then visit Den GamleBy (The Old Town). It is Denmark’s National Open Air Museum of Urban History and Culture. The museum is made up of over 75 historical houses in Denmark.

6. Kronborg Castle
The Kronborg Castle hovers on a very narrow ridge between the Danish and Swedish coasts. With its columns, limestone, spires, towers and copper roofs, the Renaissance era castle stands majestic. The Castle of Kronborg is a splendid Renaissance castle and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

7. The Hirschsprung Collection
The Hirschsprung collection is elegantly located on the old Copenhagen parapets in the green parks of the Ostre Anlaeg. The museum houses the selection of Danish art by Heinrich and Pauline Hirschsprung and decided to open its entrances to the community in the summer of 1911.
The museum was built by the architect H.B. Strock. The initial decor and gallery were designed by the art historian Emil Hannover, who also became the first director of the museum. Henrich Hirschsprung donated his 19th century collection to the Danish State in 1902.

9. The Danish Railway Museum

10. Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek
Founded in 1888, this gorgeous museum encourages you to uncover the largest collection of ancient Mediterranean art in Northern Europe and visit the prominent catalogue of French impressionist paintings in Denmark.
