Bamboo Island, known as Koh Pai in Thai is located in the North East of Phi Phi. Roughly measuring 600m in width and 700m length, the island looks heart-shaped and is entirely surrounded by a strip of white sand. The island got its name from the Bamboo trees that dominate its lush green central part, along with Casuarinas trees.
