We had an early morning flight from Mumbai to Mauritius. The flight was smooth and upon landing, we were transferred to our hotel by the agent’s representative. Additionally, at the airport, we were also given a local sim for calling purposes.
Once we had checked into our hotel, we settled in our room and later decided to explore the property even though we were tired. But since we were buzzing with excitement, our tiredness did not make any difference. True to its fame, the hotel property was top notch and filled with modern facilities and amenities.
Our room had an amazing sea view and it was truly magical to spend time with each other here. Our mood was even more uplifted when we discovered its honeymoon themed decorations and freebies which included cake, fruit platter, and champagne. We called in an early night as we were tired and we wanted to take rest and prepare for what was in store for us the next day.

The second day arrived and we had a very delicious widely spread breakfast. After breakfast, we headed for a tour of the southern part of the island.
We visited the city of Curepipe, also known as ‘Central Plateau’. There were beautiful handicrafts shops and restaurants there and we made sure to check them out. Next was the “High Point” that offered us a mesmerizing view of the entire city.
This was followed by a visit to the waterfall and the Chamarel seven colored earth. We had never seen a place like that before. It was an ideal spot for relaxing and clicking lots of pictures. Later on, we proceeded back to our hotel where all our tiredness vanished when we witnessed a mindblowing dance performance followed by a sumptuous dinner.
Day 3: Escape to the Northern Delights – Historical monuments and other charms
It was time to take the North tour now. We reached Port Louis well on time and visited lots of beautiful historical monuments and shopped to our heart’s content at the Le Caudan Waterfront.
