Established in 1940, the Alwar museum boasts of an awe-inspiring collection of artefacts, paintings and weapons that form an essential part of the ancient royal heritage. The museum is divided into three sections, with the first section displaying sculptures, inscription and the hunting trophies gathered by the royal families. This Bhangarh Fort located in Alwar at the borders of the Sariska Tiger Reserve was built by King Madho Singh. So the ascetic cursed the entire village to remain roofless forever.

The Tantrik fell in love with the princess and is said to have tried to use magic to make the princess fall in love with him too. When the princess learnt of Tantrik’s plan, she ordered his execution. The Tantrik then wished death upon the dwellers of the fort and cursed that villagers remain roofless forever.
