Our trip from Hyderabad to Karnataka began with our pickup from the railway station. We proceeded to Mysore from there and en route visited many places of historical importance. Visiting the heritage destination, Srirangapatna town, the capital of Tipu Sultan was one of our best experience in Karnataka. The many historical places – Dariya Daulat Bagh, Gumbaz, Tippu Fort; all are worth exploring.
Srirangapatna Fort, also known as Tippu Fort is one of the popular forts in Karnataka featuring unique architecture. The striking feature here was the Lal Mahal which used to be the residence of Tipu Sultan. Not only did the little ones, but we also enjoyed and learnt a lot about these famous historical places.
2. Coonoor Sightseeing Tour
Coonoor sightseeing tour was an ultimate experience on our 4 days trip in Karnataka. We proceeded to Coonoor from Ooty and went to visit Sim’s Park. The magnificent Nilgiri Hills with its many beautiful spots draws the tourists even if one didn’t plan it in the first place. The park cum botanical garden houses thousands of species of trees, plants and flowers. We then proceeded to visit Lamb’s Rock, a famous tourist spot in Coonoor. Children loved watching the view of tea and coffee estates from there. The highlight of the tour was visiting the tea and chocolate factory. The pretty tea plantation was an interesting and a nice view while the children thoroughly enjoyed the visit to the chocolate factory.

The artificially constructed Ooty Lake has many attractions surrounding it. It is famous for horse riding, boating, photography and cycling. If you are looking to spend a fun-filled evening with your family, this is the place as it has something to offer to everyone. Boating in the clear blue waters created magical moments for our family. The horse riding and cycling activity were also full of merriment. It was an absolute delight to click amazing shots of waterbirds. Also, to add a cherry on the cake, there were some amazing shops lined up, from where we purchased different items like chocolates, shawls and more.
4. Light Show At The Famous Brindavan Gardens
Visiting Brindavan Gardens was one of a kind experience on our trip to Karnataka. Our top experiences here includes the fountain show with music, boating and soaking up the view. We visited Brindavan Garden on the first day of our trip in the evening. The beauty of the Garden is just another level during this time. The footpaths were lightened up with colourful lights and it was an absolute pleasure to watch the light show and musical fountain. It is also a great place to enjoy an evening stroll. Needless to say, visiting Brindavan Garden felt like we were in paradise.
