Weather In Maldives In May

The weather in the Maldives during our vacation was mostly humid throughout the day. However, it was pleasantly cool in the mornings and at night, which was rather sublime! It even rained there sometimes that too out of nowhere.

Best Experiences We Had On Our 4 Days Honeymoon In Maldives

Here are some of our most memorable moments from the trip that we’ll never forget. Make sure you add these experiences to your holiday as well for a beautiful time in the Maldives!

1. A Walk On The Beach

While many find it overrated, but walking on the beach hand-in-hand with your special lady is an experience you should not miss out on when you’re in the Maldives. This place is amazingly beautiful, and we felt like we had reached haven! We watched the gorgeous sunset over those turquoise waters while we walked on those shores.

2. Watch The Sunset While Sipping Red Wine

After a refreshing dip in the pool on the second day of our honeymoon trip to Maldives, we came back to our room to find a bottle of red wine waiting for us. It was a really sweet surprise that totally made our day! We sat outside our sea-facing beach villa and together enjoyed that wine while watching a stunning sunset before us! It was an unbeatable experience that we’ll cherish for life!

3. Go Snorkeling

We went snorkeling in Maldives and it was the best experience I have had on the whole trip. Swimming in that crystal clear water and over those colorful corals and peculiar marine beings was an absolutely thrilling feat for both of us and we would love to try it again!

Our Accommodation In Maldives

We stayed at Hotel Coconut Tree for 1 night and in the next 3 days, we stayed at Hotel Adaran Select Meedhupparu. Hotel Coconut Tree did not have a spacious room but it was clean and had all the required amenities. The hotel was small but the service was good and it was next to the beach. It was around 20 minutes away from Male airport.

The other resort was quite nice. We took a flight from Male to Mafushi then from there we took a boat to reach our resort Adaran Select Meedhupparu. It had 4 restaurants with a massive buffet including all kinds of delicious food, swimming pool with bar, snorkeling, and unlimited alcohol that made it exceptional. The staff was very polite and quite professional.

Food In Maldives

The food in the Maldives was very delicious. Out of the 4 restaurants in our resort, we had checked out 3 and we very impressed. While one restaurant had a massive buffet with delectable Maldives food of all kinds – vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and seafood. The other one had a bar with nice live music, while the third one blew away our minds with its awesome DJ.

Our Shopping Experience In Maldives

The Hotel Adaran Select Meedhupparu had a nice souvenir shop where we bought some pretty rock paintings, cool T-shirts, and a lot more stuff like souvenirs and gifts. The rock paintings are a must if you’re wondering what to buy in Maldives.

How To Reach Maldives From India

You can easily get to the Maldives from cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Kochi that have airports with direct or connecting flights to the Maldives. Depending on the layover time, it takes around 7 to 11 hours to reach Male Airport in the Maldives from these Indian cities.

Personal Expenses Incurred In Maldives

Other than the package cost, I had spent around INR 17,931 ($250) in the Maldives itself. And by the end of the trip, I was still left with a good amount of money that I had brought on my trip.
