11. Chamunda Devi Temple

Situated on the banks of river Baner – Chamunda Devi Temple is sacred pilgrimage for Hindus in Chamba valley. The temple was built in 18th century by King Umed Singh. Situated on a high raised plinth – the temple had a steep path with around 380 stairs steps.Temple is approximately 3 km drive away from its base. The temple is full of beautiful artefacts, cravings, Nagari inscription and paintings.

What To Carry During Snowfall In Chamba

• Padded thick jackets
• T Shirts – must be collared
• You may need 5 layers of clothing
• Do carry thermals – to keep you warm and cozy at night
• Warm woolen caps which can cover your ears as well. Neck warmer and mufflers
• Woolen socks or sports socks (you may want to wear 2 of them)
• Poncho – raincoat will be extremely helpful in rains and snowfall
• Good moisturizers
