I was looking for a destination which is somewhat different from the usual and cliched places. Since I was travelling with my family, I wanted to add some adventure to our trip for the kids to enjoy. Hence, I chose Vietnam as a destination for my family vacation. Vietnam is relatively still unseen and unexplored by many and I wanted to explore it and add the destination to my list of places I’ve visited around the world. Vietnam is a country that fit our budget very comfortably, a trip to Vietnam for 6 days was all that we needed.

Day Wise Itinerary For 6 Days In Vietnam With Family
Our vacation in Vietnam was nothing short of a dream. From city tours to wonderful cruise experiences, we had a lot of fun! It was certainly a unique experience and something we would cherish for a lifetime. If you’re wondering how to spend 6 Days In Vietnam With Family, take a look at my itinerary!
Day 1: Hanoi City Tour
On day 1, we arrived in Vietnam and checked into our hotel called Hotel Bonsella, a 3-star property that offered a memorable hospitality. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were top notch with absolute hygiene. We started our trip with a sightseeing tour of the ancient monuments in Hanoi City and all the important landmarks. We visited the ho chi mausoleum, beautiful Hanoi klem lake and a spectacular wooden bridge. The entire day we wandered the streets of Hanoi and admired the architectural marvels of Hanoi and came back to the room after enjoying the day all by ourselves.

Day 2-3: Trekking In Sapa Town
The second day was our arrival in the quintessential hill station, Sapa that was marked by an adventurous trekking tour in the rice paddy fields where we got to interact with the locals and experience the local life. This was followed by a short drive to the Cat Cat village which is home of Black H’mong ethnic people and is located near the bottom of a deep valley at the foot of Fansipan Peak. The trekking last for about two hours and it was totally worth it. Next day, we went for another short trek through the rice terraces and along Muong Hoa stream to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai to witness the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Mountain.

Day 4-5: Cruise Trip To Halong Bay
Day 4 we went on an amazing cruising experience in world famous Halong Bay, we visited some top notch islands, hidden caves, and indulged in kayaking. This was truly the best highlight of our trip. We got to witness the limestone caves and had an amazing time sailing back to the main harbour. We visited local restaurants in Sapa, food was served onboard on cruise and in Hanoi we prepared our meal on our own.

Day 6: Bidding Adieu To Vietnam
On our final day, we finally say our goodbyes to Vietnam after creating lots of loving memories on the trip. We relished a healthy breakfast on our last day and completed the hotel check-out formalities. We bought local souvenirs from Vietnam. One can buy dry fruits, local clothes and souvenirs from there also. Vietnam is a medium budget destination with a variety of attractions.

Weather In Vietnam
In mid March the weather in Vietnam was very pleasant with maximum temperature going up tov27 and minimum was 14. During our excursion trip to Halong bay the cloudy weather and light showers made our experience even more wonderful. Sapa weather was perfect like any hill station. Cool morning and evening and warm but pleasant noon and ideal for trekking.
