Here’s What We Experienced On Our 4 Days Sikkim Trip From Delhi

1. Indulging In The Scenic Beauty Of Tsomgo Lake

One would fall short of words to describe the serene beauty of Tsomgo Lake. We visited this spot for camping near Tsomgo Lake on our Day 2 and were pretty amazed by the view of and around the lake. We were quite lucky that we visited the spot during summers because the lake generally remains frozen during winters. After this, it was time to head to the Baba Mandir which was built in honor of a brave army soldier, Baba Harbhajan Singh. This was surely a good start to some Sikkim local sightseeing during our trip.

Our exploration on Day 3 commenced with a visit to the charming Banjhakri Falls whose magnificence gave us chills. The waterfall was so easy on the eye that I couldn’t stop myself from getting some perfect shots with my phone. The visit was accompanied by a visit to the Enchey Monastery which is known to be one of the largest monasteries in Sikkim. The monastery was a fine example of some iconic piece of architecture featuring ornately carved windows, beautifully engraved pillars, and colorful walls. We made sure that we could make the most of our last day in Gangtok before we proceed to Pelling.

Our 4th day in Sikkim began with an alluring view of the Kanchenjunga fall which was pleasing to the eye. The water was crystal clear and the atmosphere around was quite amusing. We wish we could have stayed around the falls for long but it was time for us to head to the Pemayangtse Monastery which offers an alluring view of snow-capped mountains at the back. The monastery is decorated with beautiful paintings and sculptures.
