“Jab chaar yaar mil jaye to, Euro trip ban jaye ..”
Something similar happened with Jyoti and her friends. They had always wanted to take an international trip together. So, when one day they were all hanging out together, they came up with an idea of exploring Europe. Unlike most groups of friends who are still waiting for that Goa trip to happen, Jyoti and her friends went along and spent exciting two weeks in Europe. It’s culture, amazing architecture and the night life.
Here is a detail of their experience of two weeks in Europe.

Weather In Europe In June
We took our Euro trip in June. Since it is summer season in Europe in June, Prague, Munic, and Vienna were extremely warm. The temperatures in Salzburg, Budapest, and Hallstatt were moderate. Innsbruck was extremely pleasant and simply superb.
Best Experiences On Our Two Weeks In Europe
If you are wondering where to go in 2 weeks in Europe and what all experiences to have, you may take help from our experience.
1. Prague
We started our 2 week trip to Europe by exploring the clubs in Prague. The next day, we took a walking city tour to the famous attractions like Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, etc. We took a stroll around the river bridge and enjoyed having dinner by the riverfront. We also visited the Dancing house that is famous for its bizarre architecture while roaming around old town square. We, then, transferred to Munich by bus.

2. Munich
In Munich, we first visited the English Garden, a large public park in the city centre. The next stops were Marienplatz and Nymphenburg Palace that are known for their baroque architecture. We also enjoyed visiting Olympic Vark. It was so vast and beautiful. However, the highlight in Munich was hands down BMW World where we saw all the automobile models on display. It is located right next to the Olympic Park.
3. Salzburg
We visited a number of famous attractions in Salzburg like Mozart’s birthplace, beer factory, love lock bridge, Mirabell garden, and the fort of Hohensalzburg. We also took a Sound of Music tour which took us to all the places where the movie was shot. We also visited Hallstatt, a beautiful village in Austria that is only 50-minute train ride from Salzburg.
4. Innsbruck
When in Innsbruck, we enjoyed visiting Swarovski Crystal World. We roamed around the old town and visited the Golden Roof. Hungerburg was also a delightful place to wander around.
5. Budapest
Budapest was amazing. There was so much to see and explore. We visited the Chain Bridge, Buda castle, Parliament building, and St. Stephen’s basilica. We wandered around the Hero’s Square and also visited the Opera House. We also enjoyed the River Cruise while our time in Budapest. The thermal baths were rejuvenating.

6. Vienna
Vienna was again a wonderful place to discover and explore. From St. Stephen’s Cathedral to Danube Tower and the giant Ferris Wheel, everything about this place was so beautiful and Instagram-worthy. We enjoyed having a bite of Sacher Cake in Vienna. It was so delicious, a Vienna delight. We event attended the lit music festival called Danube Island Festival. It was so dope.
Places To Stay In Europe
We preferred staying at hostels and AirBnbs as these accommodations are way more cheaper and pleasant to stay in as compared to hotels.
1. Prague: Plus Prague Hostel
The hostel was nice and clean with warm and friendly staff. Thanks to the accessibility from metro and cab, the location did not feel that far from the attractions. It even had an indoor swimming pool and sauna.

2. Munich: The 4You Hostel
The best thing about our stay in the 4You hostel was that the major attractions were just at a walking distance of less than 10mins. There were 8 bunk beds in the dormitory. The staff was nice and friendly. There was a common shower area separate for boys and girls.
3. Innsbruck: Upcycling Apartment In Old Farmhouse
We chose to stay at an excellent Airbnb apartment in Innsbruck. The 2BHK apartment came with all modern amenities and was located at a convenient location from the major attractions. The host was kind enough to stock enough portion of salt, pepper, sugar, powdered milk, porridge, vegetables and a complimentary bottle of wine.
4. Salzburg: Gasthof Postwirt
We had a pleasant stay at Gasthof Postwirt. We had booked two rooms with an attached shower area. All the major attractions were approx. 15 mins by cab.
5. Budapest: Under the Buda Castle Apartment
We had an excellent stay at an Airbnb in Budapest with all modern amenities. It was at a walkable distance from all the major attractions. The host had provided with all the necessities.
6. Vienna: A & T Holiday Hostel
The location of the hostel was a bit far off the main attractions but it took us 15 minutes from cab to reach the city centre. The hostel had free wi-fi and recreational facilities like billiards and table football.

Restaurants Visited In Two Weeks In Europe
Here are all the restaurants that we visited on our holiday in various places.
1. Prague
We dined at the Cross Club where the whole architecture was made with metal and recycled materials. It had self-service and the food was delicious. There was a dancing area on the ground floor. Chicken Pizza cost around INR 500 bucks and beer was INR 120 bucks. The other restaurant was near Rasinovo Nabrezi Riverbank and it had outdoor seating. The ambiance was lovely and the food was delicious. A portion of Caesar’s Salad cost us around INR 370 bucks.
2. Munich
We enjoyed the freshly brewed at Augustiner Keller. It had huge open space and was crowded at all times. The staff was friendly but the service was a bit slow. A beer here would cost you arun 8 Euros. La Fiesta had a lovely ambiance and friendly staff. We enjoyed the music as much as we enjoyed food.
3. Salzburg
We visited M32, a rooftop restaurant located on the hilltop. The main reason we liked this place was the skyline it offered. The food was okay and the staff was friendly.
4. Vienna
We went to a famous dessert place in Vienna called Trichy. The decor was quirky and colorful, the staff friendly. We paid 2 Euros for 2 scoops of ice cream.
In Budapest, we enjoyed nightlife at Ankert Club and also attended Danube Island Festival.

Europe Travel Tips
Here are some important trips that I would like to suggest to the fellow travelers to have a hassle-free trip.
- Pick a comfortable month to travel to Europe.
- Avoid walking tour of Prague in summer.
- Wear comfortable walking shoes.
- It is advisable to explore Europe on foot rather than on public transport.
- Prefer bus or trains for intercity travel. It will not only be easy on your pocket but you would also enjoy the views along.
- If you’re booking a cab from the airport to your hotel, pick and load your own luggage as the cab driver would charge 5 to 10 euros to load your bag.
- Board the cab as soon as it arrives. The cabbie will charge you for even a minute’s delay.
- It is advisable to carry local currency in Prague and Budapest. A lot of places here do not accept Euros.
- Avoid panoramic/hop on hop off bus tour in Salzburg as everything is nearby and can be covered walking. You may even rent a bike. It costs approx. 10 euros for an hour.
- Carry your snacks and plenty of water during summers.
- Food can be purchased from DM stores, Billa or Spar.
- Do visit the Swarovski museum and Hungerburg in Innsbruck
- Take a travel pass which is valid across trains, metro and trams. Travel passes are valid for 30 mins and 90 mins.
- Avoid buying survivors from the main attraction area or shopping centers- they would be costly. Buy from small street shops. Chocolates, Perfumes and cosmetics are cheaper than India and can be purchased by DM stores.
How To Reach Europe
We had booked Turkish Airlines from Mumbai to Prague. We had a layover at Istanbul airport for 90 mins. The usual wait time is 50 mins but since our flight was delayed, we waited for 90 mins to board our flight from Istanbul to Prague. Here are the timings of our flight
Mumbai to Istanbul – 6:30 am Departure.
Arrive Istanbul at 10:45 am
Istanbul to Prague – 12:45 pm- 13:45 pm.
Experience With TravelTriangle
Overall experience with travel triangle was simply super. 10 on 10. Street Romeo and Mr Jigar took all possible care regarding our budge, customized the package as per our liking and were available throughout on call when required. The budget worked out for the trip was decent and we are content. Though AC rooms could have been arranged as it was difficult to sleep being summers in Europe. I personally think that Hop on Hop off bus passes could also have a validity of 48 hours including a lunch at the Danube River Cruise (Budapest) with additional costing.
Traveling Europe On A Budget: Every Solo Traveler’s Go-To Guide In 2022
People were very warm and helpful except in Prague. Prague locals were very rude and refuse to help navigate. But in other cities, they were extremely helpful. All in all, our two weeks in Europe were amazing. Any trip with friends turns out to be fun but when it is Europe, the fun and experience take up a notch. All that hype they show in the movies about the Euro Trip with friends is every cent true.
