    3. Fort Aguada

    Tucked by the Candolim beach, Fort Aguada is an age-old Portugese fort in Goa, built in 17th century. The fort was built to safeguard the Portugese community from Maratha and Dutch attack. The fort was named Aguada which means water, because of a freshwater spring located inside the premises. Fort Aguada is counted as one of the most-visited tourist places in Goa which has become more popular after the shooting of Bollywood movie Dil Chahta Hain.
