Galway’s Land National Park is situated in Nuwara Eliya city of Sri Lanka. It is a very small national park. It had been declared as a wildlife sanctuary on May 27th, 1938. Later, it was designated as a national park on 18 May 2006. Field Ornithology Group of Sri Lanka considers Galway’s Land National Park and Victoria Park of Nuwara Eliya to be the two most significant sites for birding in entire Sri Lanka. There are about 30 native species and around 20 rare bird species which migrate every year. This park has many floral species which are very valuable in both foreign and native countries.
