Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary Reviews

Any travel guide about Binsar park is incomplete mentioning what its visitors said about it. So, we’ve put down some reviews given by people who have visited the Binsar sanctuary in the past:

1. Govind says: “I had heard a lot about this wild sanctuary part in Kumaon region & luckily got a chance to explore while returning from hometown. It’s 15-20 km from Almora & took approx 1 hr to reach there. I wasn’t expecting much but after 5 mins of walk itself a deer spotted ..the forest became dense & dense as we move forward. The top is worth to visit though it takes 30-40 mins walk oneway…& bit difficult with little ones but at the end the 360 view is awesome. Keep some water bottles & snacks before starting your hike there is nothing in b/w. If planning to stay in Kasar & Almora leave a bit early.”

2. Gurpreet says: “It’s an awesome place! The wildlife sanctuary is a treat for nature lovers. The bright red rhododendrons add so much colour to the jungle that it mesmerises you. The view from the zero point is spectacular and the walk through the sanctuary is healing .. the silence interrupted by the calls of the birds add to the charm of it. There is nothing to do there except to just disconnect and unwind walking through the unspoilt forest and admire the Himalayas on a clear bright day. Will definitely go again!!”

3. Nidhi says: “It’s super awesome for a Trek!! The views throughout are just AMAZING. We went there in the month of June and we were lucky that it wasn’t raining until we reached Brahma Dhungi and started our journey back from there. The trek is tough coz it’s 16 km and a little slippery as it was raining. This trekking experience was definitely worth all the efforts because of all the beautiful views, the top view of Brahma Dhungi, the wildlife we saw in the our way to the top (gray langurs monkeys, wild mushrooms, flowers, etc) on our way.”
