Being on my toes, heading on a trip without knowing the destination, and overcoming challenges, that is exactly what travel means to me. And so, my weekend escape to Binsar with my office friends was another opportunity for living life the way I love. While it was an incredible experience, what made it more memorable are the unique things to do in Binsar that all of us did together.

Having absolutely no idea about Binsar, except that this offbeat town has the steepest and curviest roads en route, was enough to fuel our wanderlust and make us escape to this wonderful offbeat hilly destination.

2. Captured every moment, and all the memories

Of all the things to do in Binsar, if there’s anything one shouldn’t miss out on, it’s photography. My love for the same made it irresistible for me to not capture anything around. The trees, the curvy roads, clear sky, the sun, and everything else ahead of my camera’s lens was worth capturing.

In the middle of all this, we joked around, caught up on great conversations, and did a lot of crazy things together. Well, it’s rightly said, good companions have the magic of converting a trip into a holiday, and mine with my friends became an incredible one.

3. Admired the sunset

Sunrise and sunset are two things any nature admirer dies to witness when he or she is in the heart of the hills. My situation was no different. And so, I successfully managed to watch the sunset on the evening of day 1. The view was magical, the ambience was soothing, and the vibes were too positive.

After all the late night chatting and chilling, I hardly slept and got ready to witness the sunrise too at 5:30 AM on day 2. Unfortunately, all I could capture was clouds since the weather didn’t help much.

4. Trekked through the rolling hills

Trekking is one of the top things to do in Binsar, and even when we knew we were short on time, we managed to experience a bit of it. All of us trekked to a point half a kilometer away from the resort, and it all proved to be worthwhile.

The lush greenery on the dotted hills with a clear blue sky in the background was a breathtaking sight. We broke free from all the work stress and jumped with joy like kids.

5. Enjoyed the warmth of the bonfire over good music

A bonfire adds spark to one’s evening in the hills, and what makes it even better is good music. Sitting under the sky studded with stars, we unwound and made the most of those calming moments.

Overall, it was an amazing and unforgettable break for all of us. We giggled, captured, gorged, listened to music, reminisced, and indulged in a lot of surreal experiences.

• The journey from Delhi to Binsar, where we passed through curvy roads was a pulsating experience.

Low Point Of Our Trip To Binsar

• The only low point of the Binsar trip was the lack of planning from our end. Had we known what a gem Binsar is, we would have kept a couple of more days for exploring the place.

• Try and plan your holiday during the fall or spring since the monsoon rains can often cause delays.
• Carry a good pair of shoes, a jacket, and every essential since the market is quite far from the camp.
• The journey to Binsar involves high altitudes. Avoid eating anything heavy, before or after you board the bus.
• Binsar is a gorgeous, secluded place. Plan a two to three-day trip so that you can explore it properly.
• Make a ‘things to do in Binsar’ list so that you don’t miss out on any experiences.
