Yatin Arora talks about his honeymoon trip to Maldives and the impact that the island country left on him. He tells us why it is the perfect destination for honeymoon couples and families looking to spend some quality time together. This 3 Nights/4 Days trip to Maldives cost him INR 115,000 and included his airfare, hotel and sightseeing.
I will never forget my trip to Maldives since it was my honeymoon destination and my first foreign trip. Looking back, I still remember the lush greenery, the warm soothing weather, and the sweet company of my wife.
My friends referred Maldives for its scenic beauty, activities, and the overall natural essence of the place, something that I was looking for because my wife and I wanted an immersive holiday experience.
So, after searching a lot of travel websites for competitive land and air packages, I finally shortlisted Travel Triangle mainly because they offered a hassle free and smooth experience. I chose the best quote and itinerary and was ready for my trip to the island country, happy and content for finishing the process quickly and easily.
Day 1: Beginning of good times
After landing at the Maldives Airport, we were taken to our hotel – Paradise Island Resort and Spa, via a speedboat. This retreat, which covered the whole island was breathtaking. It is hard for me to describe its beauty in words, but it was an out of the world experience.
So after the warm hotel welcome, we were shown our beach facing villa that had a romantic feel to it. There were a complimentary fruit basket and sparkling wine waiting for us at the hotel, for commemorating our marriage. Thus, the holiday began on a great note, and I was looking forward to spending some good time with my wife.

The second day began with a grand English breakfast that was enjoyed by both of us. Later, my wife and I set off to explore the vicinity and were delighted to find it soothing and pleasing to our senses. We found a restaurant built on the waters and lunching there was a memorable experience. The food in totality was brilliant, primarily because they served us Indian cuisine too, which for any vegetarian on an island country is a big relief. The puri aloo was authentic and tasty.
The restaurant in our resort also had musical nights and dining in such a festive ambience was an enjoyable experience.
Day 3: Getting lost in nature
This was a day full of fun activities. It was exciting to feed the sharks and stingrays, and there were water sports activities as well.

Day 4: Saying goodbye
This was our last day and after having breakfast, we set off for the airport and were on our way back home.
Bidding farewell to Maldives was difficult as it held so many fond memories for us. I was sad to leave the country but happy for having been there with my wife.
Maldives for me would always be a destination with happy memories. I am glad that we chose it as our honeymoon destination for it turned to be the perfect backdrop for a new chapter in our life.
