Day 1: We kicked off with a beach-side dinner!
After taking a flight from New Delhi, we landed in Denpasar, Bali at 1 pm. From the airport, our driver picked us up and dropped us at Risata Resort in Kuta. We decided to rest for a few hours to get rid of the tiredness from our long flight.
In the evening, we walked for 5 minutes and reached the Kuta beach for our beachside candle-light dinner. This was the moment we immersed ourselves completely into a romantic vacation in Bali.

Day 2: Ubud shopping & monkey mania!
The next morning, we had breakfast and got ready for our Kintamani and Ubud tour. First up, we saw the picturesque Kintamani volcano on a clear morning and followed that up with a visit to the Monkey Forest in Ubud. The forest, a sacred land for the Balinese people, was where we saw hundreds of Balinese long tailed monkeys living in their natural habitat and being looked after by forest guards.
Our tour ended with a visit to the vibrant Ubud street market. A lot of things caught our eye during our short shopping visit in Ubud. Later in the evening, we dropped by at the Kuta market to have dinner and then proceed to the resort for the night.

Day 3: The dolphins brightened up our day
This day, we woke up very early and got ready by 3 am to depart for dolphin sightseeing on Lovina Beach. It was an incredible experience seeing dolphins at sunrise all around us in their natural habitat. Seeing dolphins not bound to any zoo, national park, or oceanarium was immensely pleasing to the eye.
In the afternoon, we decided to skip Tanah Lot tour because we felt exhausted from our early morning exploits. Also, there was an extra motivating factor in returning to the hotel as we were due for a spa session in the evening. The time spent at The Orchid Spa was truly incredible as we received much-needed relief from the mental and physical tiredness in our lives.
In the evening, we celebrated my birthday by going to an amazing pub in central Kuta. The nightlife was supreme and the club had an electrifying vibe to it.

Day 4: We even had our very own private luxury villa!
This morning, we checked out of Kuta and moved to Transera Grand Kancana Villa in Seminyak. After settling into the villa, we proceeded for water sports at Nusa Dua Beach.
Parasailing, jet skiing, banana boat ride, or underwater sea walk. You name it, and we did it! Although we couldn’t see much of marine life as expected in the underwater sea walk, we had a cameraman clicking underwater photos and videos that made our time during this activity memorable.
After the water sports, we were scheduled for a half day sightseeing tour in Bali, which we asked the agency to alter it to only beaches in Bali. Cutting down on a few places to visit every day was done on purpose, as we realized that focussing on quality rather than quantity would give us the most enjoyment on this romantic vacation in Bali.

Day 5 & 6: Ended the trip on a perfect relaxing note
The fifth day of our trip to Bali was a leisure day. That day, we mostly enjoyed relaxing in the amazing villa we stayed in by getting up really late and skipping breakfast. The pool and the interiors of the villa were mind boggling.
In the evening, we set foot out of our villa and visited the Kuta market to buy some gifts and souvenirs for our loved ones. We ended the evening by having dinner at our favorite Indian restaurant – Spice Mantra.
On the final day, we checked out of the villa at 9 am and proceeded to the airport for our flight back to New Delhi. My wife and I were so excited to go home after an immensely successful romantic vacation in Bali. We couldn’t wait to share the experience with our friends and family, and meet our daughter after six days!
