Mandrem Beach, located in Goa, is situated in the northern part. It is located in the Mandrem coastal village. It is 21 km away from the capital city, Panaji. Mandrem Beach has obvious water with white sand. It is situated between twin beaches known as Morjim and Arambol. Mandrem village is home to nearly 8,000 people and produces the finest masons. The land in this place initially belonged to Muslims like Kabir Khan, Ramzan, Yana Khan, etc. Mandrem is derived from the Arabic word Mudra, which means teacher. There was a village under this region known as Alkhand Village, where horses bought from Saudi Arabia were sold.

There are lush green areas around the beach with exotic fruits, plants, and trees, such as coconut, mango, pepper, jackfruit, betel nuts, and many more. Baga Beach, located in North Goa, is one of the busiest and most famous tourist attractions in Goa. Baga Beach is bordered by Calangute Beach and Anjuna Beach. Reis Magos

Reis Magos Fort, located in Reis Magos village, situated on the northern banks of the Mandovi River, is opposite Panjim. Reis Magos village is famous for Reis Magos Fort and Reis Magos Church, which is known to be the first church in Bardez. The name of this first translates to three wise men in Portuguese. It was again enlarged on different occasions and re-erected in 1707. This fort accommodated viceroys and newly arrived dignitaries during the war against the Hindu Marathas in the 18th century. The bastion of this fort was used as a prison. On the east side of this fort, there is Reis Magos Church. The view from the fort is breathtaking.

There are many inscriptions found on the pavement of the fort. This fort was later abandoned by the British military and used as a prison. This fort and the church were built in 1541 by the Portuguese. It was initially an armed outpost of Adil Shah in 1493. This fort is now a famous cultural site and tourist attraction. The sunset from this fort is known to have a mesmerising view. This fort is open from 9:30 am – 5:00 pm with an entry fee of Rs—50 for adults and Rs. 25 for children. There are also cultural events held sometimes in this fort. It takes nearly 2 hours to explore this place.

Chapel of Our Lady of the Mount

The Chapel of Our Lady of the Mount is a famous Roman Catholic church in Old Goa dedicated to the Virgin Mary. It is one of the oldest structures in Goa and was built between 1510 and 1519. The church is located on a hilltop with a view of the Mandovi River. It is built with laterite stone and features baroque architecture. Until 2001, this church was found to be ruined, but it was later restored by the government.

Every November, the Chapel hosts the famous Monte Music Festival in the courtyard. The church is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is closed on Saturdays.
