1. Langkawi Island
10 Handpicked Day Trips For Couples In Kuala Lumpur To Have An Unforgettable Holiday In 2022
Our trip to Malaysia began with a visit to the beautiful island of Langkawi. We checked into the Langkawi beach resort on the first day. Our first impression of Langkawi was of an island developed majorly to promote tourism in Malaysia. Being a tourist hotspot, the island of Langkawi shuts down pretty early at 9 pm
As it was my wife’s birthday, we thought of spending our afternoon relaxing in the comfort of our resort. At night, we went out for dinner to an Indian eatery called Maharaja Restaurant.
Next few days on our itinerary were kept for sightseeing in Langkawi. We started with the Langkawi city tour on the second day, and island hopping tour on the day after that.
- Sightseeing tour in Langkawi
On our sightseeing tour we covered, Eagle Square, Kuah Town, Atma alam craft center, and Mangrove Island tour. Among the places to visit, we also had a chance to see the beautiful locations where the famous bollywood movie Don 2 was shot.
- Island hopping in Langkawi
We visited a total of three pristine islands on this tour. First stop on ouion island, followed by a visit to the Dayang Bunting island.
At this island, one can climb a few hundred steps to reach at the top of the pregnant maiden mountain. From the top, enjoy the scenic views of Islands littered across the Andaman Sea.
Our last stop on the cruise was at the Wet Rice island. One thing we admired about all three islands was the unspoilt natural beauty. At the wet rice Island, we relaxed at the pristine beach for an hour.
Our favorite restaurant in Langkawi:
We loved eating delicious Indian food at Maharaja Restaurant. By seeing the amount of Indians and Pakistanis eating at this joint, we figured that this might be the most popular Indian restaurant in town.
Our review of Langkawi Beach Resort
The room provided to us was comfortable and the service at the resort was really good. We enjoyed our spacious sea-facing room with a jacuzzi fitted inside. The resort facilities were top notch as travelers could enjoy a variety of sports activities.
Rating: 5/5
2. Genting Highlands
9 Romantic Honeymoon Resorts In Malaysia Right Out Of Your Dream
On the fourth day, we decided to go for a day-tour to the hills of Genting. It took us an hour’s drive from Kuala Lumpur to arrive at the hill resort. On our way to the Highlands, we stopped at multiple places for sightseeing.
- Batu Caves
Dedicated to the Lord Murugan, Batu Caves is one the most popular hindu temples outside India. We climb the stairs and walked inside the caves to visit the million-year old mythological paradise. We also got to know an interesting piece of info, that Batu Caves was a location for the shooting of Rajnikath starrer Kabali.
- Cable car ride at Genting Skyway
Our driver took us to Genting by car, and for the final few kilometres of the ascend, we decided to experience the cable car ride. The amazing cable car ride covered a total distance of three kilometres, in which it took us cutting through the picturesque green hills to the top of Genting hill resort.
- Snow Park, Genting Highlands
Our final stop in Genting was at a winter-themed amusement park called Snow World. What we liked about this park was that they provide a sub-zero snowfall like temperature all-year round. It was an entertaining place where we tried skiing, sled pulling, and making a snowman.
3. Sunway Lagoon Theme Park
Gurpreet’s Family Trip To Singapore And Malaysia Will Unleash The Child In You!
On the penultimate day of our trip to Malaysia, we went for a full-day visit to the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park. The entertainment park is spread across huge area having six major sections. The park is designed in a way that it caters people from all age groups.Although, the park was too big to cover in one day, my wife and I tried to visit and enjoy the places that interested us the most.
Firstly, we explored the Amusement Park and Water Park, which are filled with thrilling ground and water rides. Our favorite section was the Surf Beach in the Water Park.
Post lunch, we visited the Wildlife Park and Extreme Park. The second half of our day was more intense and adrenaline pumping because of the activities we were about to do. Bungee jumping, flying fox, kayaking, and go-karting made sure that there was ample adventure and thrill-seeking at Sunway Lagoon.
