Working in a corporate firm sometimes feels very exhausting and then demands for a holiday. Moreover, I wanted to spend some quality time as my partner was moving to a new city for pursuing his dreams/career. Beaches definitely have to be the USP. I am a nature lover and an aesthete who loves to be amidst nature and greenery and living in a metro city does not really give you enough chances to enjoy nature. Goa gave me that opportunity where I could just forget all my worries and enjoy nature, beaches, the sun and, the wind. Though on a budget, we were able to make the most of our Romantic Trip to Goa. Famous for its beaches and water sports, there are a lot of things to do in Goa while on a holiday. Look what all were we able to add to our Goa trip within a budget.

Here’s Everything Best From Our Short Romantic Trip to Goa
1. Experiencing The Exotic Resorts
There are many choices on beach resorts in Goa. Our first day at Riva Beach Resort was amazing. I had never even seen a sunrise and this was my best chance to see the sun rising on the beach. We woke up early in the morning to experience a sunrise. Waking up to this beautiful view of the beach made my day. After having a wonderful breakfast, we chilled by the pool for some time. Riva Beach is private beach property and hence gives you an advantage of enjoying the beach at any point in time. We went to the beach and spent some time watching the stars in the sky. After that, we went out for dinner at a nearby Café. The whole idea of this trip was to enjoy some quality time amidst nature and hence you will not find anything very crazy throughout our trip. We just wanted to stay at a good property and relax.
The property in South Goa was 2 hours away from Riva Beach (and a big thank you to travel triangle for arranger the transfer). After our breakfast at Riva we left for South Goa. We had booked an amazing villa in a beautiful village in South Goa. On our way to the property, we enjoyed watching the scenic views of boats in the rivers, beautiful village houses and of course the coconut trees. We reached at around 2 in the afternoon. It was a spacious villa with a pool and an outdoor kitchen that came as a plus point. After resting and relaxing in our villa for some good 2-3 hours we head out for some dinner and drinks. There was a café named Nostalgia suggested by our villa host that was just 600 meters away. The place has some amazing authentic interior and décor. Enjoyed our night there with some locals
2. Taking to the streets of Goa
While exploring Goa, we first visited the Tiracol Fort Arambol which is one of the best places to visit in Goa. It is a heritage for that is now converted into a hotel. It has an amazing view of the sea and has two very nice dining places name- “the Tavern” and “Garden Café”. Had our lunch at the garden café. While on our way back to the hotel, we came across a random and a very beautiful lake, where we stopped by and took some pictures. We also went to the main north goa market which was around 40 minutes from our property. Our first stop was Chapora Fort which is the favorite place for an evening haunt. The movie “Dil Chahta Hai” was shot in this fort and we took some really amazing pictures here. We also visited the Candolim Beach which has a pristine touch with an array of amusement options. Among the other attractions, we visited was the Vagator beach, Aguada Fort and finally some party in the. Tito’s lane. We went to Tito’s Bar. It is a wonderful place to hang around with your people.

3. Having A Gala Time With The Locals
Our nights at the resort became much more fun with the local. After our dinner at the onsite restaurant, we had a gala time with the locals. They told us about their interactions with tourists from all over the world and also some interesting stories. The locals were very sweet and helpful. Goa is one of the top tourist destinations in India, the kind of hospitality that the city gives you is beyond words. This was my first trip to a beach destination with my partner and we were excited. Before this, we had only traveled to the mountains. I must say Goa is very beautiful and so are its people. Everybody was very welcoming.
4. Drooling Over Goan Curries!
As we reached quite late at our property “Riva Beach Resort”, the property’s restaurant was closed. We were very hungry and as the property is not on the main market area, we thought we would not find food during that time at night. However, to our surprise, there were a lot of cafes, restaurants, and shops near our property. Plus there was a big market in Arambol beach that was just 500 meters away. I tried the Goan fish curry with rice at Tiracol’s Garden Café, the dish was very authentic made in coconut oil. All the places that we went to had a lot of options. If you happen to go to South Goa, you must go to Johncy at Benaulim Beach. It is a beachside restaurant where you can enjoy live music with a romantic candlelight dinner with your special one. There are other restaurants alongside. Special mention to Joe’s Bar and Restaurant at Bogmalo beach- a beautiful shack with some amazing shakes and dishes to choose from. The place serves alcohol as well. Situated in the calm beach of south goa makes it even more pleasant.

Best Highlights from Our Romantic Trip To Goa
All the places that we went to were really amazing. However, I would like to highlight Aguada fort and Vagator Beach. Aguada for obvious reasons. I believe everybody who goes to Goa has to visit the Dil Chahta hai fort. Plus we reached the fort at around 5 5:50 in the evening. It was the perfect time to spend an evening with your loved one watching the sunset with an amazing view. Vagator is unlike any other beach. It is a rocky beach, you can climb up to some rocks and enjoy the beautiful waves splashing at you.
