My idea of holiday is more of ‘Do nothing & Relax’ and I was always reluctant to hit a big city for a holiday. However, my wife has always been keen on trying different avenues. After multiple beach and mountain holidays, she finally convinced me to take a holiday to a cosmopolitan city like Dubai. Since no husband can dare say no to his wife, I willingly agreed. Little did I know some good fun was waiting for me in Dubai. It was way beyond my expectations.
Yes, I am just back from a 5-day holiday from Dubai and feel so rejuvenated. Dubai is a perfect blend of cosmopolitan wave, lavish malls, sand beaches, and picturesque deserts and luxurious lifestyle. Day 1: Dhow Cruise On Dubai Creek
The trip started with a dhow cruise on the beautiful Dubai creek. A perfect 2-hour fancy boat ride helped me get the required tempo for the upcoming adventures in Dubai. Our boat was one of the many nicely lit boats around with just the right kind of music to set the ambiance. While the dinner was nicely arranged, it wasn’t the end of the night. It was only after we saw the local dance performance on the deck we realized that best is always left for the last. What can I say? It was just amazing! The gentle, cold breeze on the upper deck helped us get in the holiday mode.

Day 2: Dubai City Tour
Today was mainly focused on the Dubai City Tour. The city is so beautiful with towering skyscrapers all around, right from the world’s tallest tower to the world’s tallest hotel. Dubai has preserved its history in various forms across the city, be it the Dubai museum or a mosque. Dubai mall, one of the world’s biggest malls, that has over 1200 brands is a shopper’s paradise. The evening was spent nicely on 124th floor of the majestic Burj Khalifa. Being on such a height makes you feel you are the king of your life. It also gives a perfect view of the entire city.

Day 3: Desert Safari
We began our next day post lunch. And guess what? Yes, it was time for the Iconic Desert Safari in the Land Cruiser. It was an hour ride from the city to reach the desert. When the Land cruiser took us to the middle of nowhere in the desert on a half an hour adventurous drive, we felt the real thrill of Dubai. The drive was followed by activities like camel ride, etc. Once the adventure was done, it was time for some fun at the desert camp. Barbeque dinner, belly dancing performance, Hookah, a pic with Falcon; we were having the time of our life on our Dubai trip. All these together took care of us for the next 2-3 hours and you get the perfect relaxation.

Day 4: Abu Dhabi & Ferrari World Tour
It was a 2-hour drive to Abu Dhabi for a city tour and the Ferrari World Tour. The drive is a beautiful one between the desert and you feel like actually driving (don’t though, fines are heavy) . Abu Dhabi is such a fascinating city with such amazing infrastructure and safest country in the world. Grand mosque was the most important attraction of the whole day which was followed by a 4 hour tour of the adventure and thrill filled Ferrari World. It has everything a Ferrari lover can look , latest cars, accessories to shop, a journey through the history and crazy rides. All these were perfectly placed to take your holiday towards a closure.

Day 5: Shopping
Last but not the least, we spent the last day shopping at Meena Bazar for family and friends. We took one last visit to the beautiful Dubai creek enjoying the sunset and discussing about last 4 days with my wife while the breeze swifted through our hair. I could not have asked for anything better.
