2. Spice Garden
Kerala is the ‘Land of Spices’ and I was always intrigued by this fact. Our visit to the lush spice garden in Munnar was full of astonishment. One of the most popular spices in Kerala, the Black Pepper has impacted world history. The spice garden has a huge plantation of Black Pepper. Other spices grown here include cardamom, curcuma, ginger, and cinnamon. Hills in the Southern part of our country has favorable soil, climate, and sunlight for growing spices. This is why we have Cardamom hills in the south of Western Ghats. They are the ‘world known spice hills’. Spice plantation visit was interesting as we could see how the spices of our kitchen look in their natural form.
