Pradeep Porika talks about his amazing family trip to Kerala that he took with his wife, child, and in-laws. He elaborates on the amazing natural ambience of the place and tells us how it is the perfect destination for couples and families. He booked his package via TravelTriangle and it included his transfers, hotels, and sightseeing all for a cost of INR 35,500. Let us hear his story.
I had heard many good things about Kerala from a lot of people and so when I decided to take a vacation with my family, Kerala turned out to be the perfect destination. Since everyone around me praised the place for it’s beautiful scenery and the relaxation that it offered, I thought it would be an ideal destination for family bonding.
TravelTriangle was discovered via internet ad and I was attracted to their concept of connecting you with multiple travel agents for competitive quotes and itineraries. I chose Best Holidays India Pvt. Ltd. as my agent and was soon sorted when it came to booking a land package for my trip.
Day 1: Munnar – Begining of good times
We reached Kochi at 2 PM and we were picked up from the Ernakulam railway station and taken to Munnar. On the way, we had our lunch and also saw a waterfall. We then went to the Elephant Park but, unfortunately, it was closed. So we checked into the hotel and relaxed for a while eventually retiring for the night.
Day 2: Munnar – Exploring the scenic surroundings
We visited a number of places this day. First one was Rose garden and it was followed by a visit to the Mattupetty dam. Next was the Eravikulam National Park and the experience there was nice although we couldn’t see any animals. The scenery and natural ambience there was amazing. Later, after coming back, we went for a massage and that was quite a relaxing experience.

Day 3: Kochi – The city of beauty
We left for Kochi this day and on our way we visited the Elephant Park. After having lunch, we visited the St. Francis Church in Kochi and later the archaeological museum. We also went to the beach and the marine drive. We also visited the Chinese shopping yard and later checked into the hotel and called it a night.
Day 4: Alleppey – Gliding through calm waters
We were transferred to Alleppey this day and after checking in at the hotel by 12 in the noon, we left it for a 3-hour boating trip in the backwaters. It was an excellent experience and everything there was serene and scenic. I loved the peaceful ambience and it felt magical to glide along slowly amidst lush nature. Later, back in the hotel, we relaxed at the resort and called it a night.
Day 5: Farewell
After having breakfast, we checked out and left for Kochi. We were dropped at Ernakulam station and that is how the trip ended.
Kerala will always remain special to my heart for it gave me the opportunity to spend some quality time with my family in the background of lush greenery. We loved its natural ambience, friendly people, and the calmness that it offered.
This trip brought us closer to each other and gave us the freedom to strengthen our family relations. It proved out to be the perfect catalyst in family bonding and needless to say, was the perfect background for a family union.
