Destination Wedding In Kerala: Backwaters, Houseboat And Other Gorgeous Theme Venues!

We took a flight from Hyderabad to Cochin and arrived in the morning. Upon our arrival at the airport, we were greeted by the agent’s representative. Our car ride to Munnar started at 10 am and we reached our destination by 5 pm. In between these hours, we were lucky enough to witness the true beauty of Kerala. We saw waterfalls, tea gardens, lush greenery, and so many breathtaking views that those are now etched in our minds. Overall sightseeing in Munnar was totally worth it and so was our hotel there – Green Ridge Holiday Home, which offered good services and stay.

Day 2: Alleppey – the houseboat experience

Today, after a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we checked out and proceeded for Alleppey for our houseboat stay in the backwaters. It took us around 4 hours to reach Alleppey and upon seeing the houseboat and backwaters, we were delighted. We excitedly checked in and were soon gliding around amidst the serene backwaters.

The backwaters ride was a surreal experience and actually proved why Kerala has been given the title “God’s Own Country”. Everything from the various small islands to the view to the lush greenery and waters – was beautiful beyond imagination.

The food and snacks on the houseboat were excellent and so was our overnight stay.

Day 3: Goodbye Kerala, till we meet again!

This was our last day in Kerala and it was time to say goodbye. Post breakfast at 9, we checked out of our houseboat and proceeded back to Cochin. Upon our arrival in Cochin, we visited a few places and were then dropped at the airport for our flight back to Hyderabad.
