2. Nithya Sahaya Matha Town Church
Situated on the Coimbatore road and close to the stadium bus stand, the Nithya Sahaya Matha Town Church is a beautiful church in Palakkad. At night it is dressed in twinkling LEDs which enhances its appearance to the outsider. The insides are even more beautiful than the outside. People come here to attend prayer meets and masses. This church was established in 1775 as a small house of worship. However, an Italian clergyman came here 1865 and built this beautiful church as is seen today. The church is flocked by Christians as well as non-Christians alike for the amazing architecture and spiritual atmosphere. Holy mass is held once every day of the week. On Sundays though, mass is held twice, Tamil in the morning and Malayalam in the evening.
