By Air: The major airport is at Satna about 81 km from Kamadgiri Temple.
By Rail: The railway station nearest to Chitrakoot is Chitrakoot Dham Karwi situated at a distance of about 14 km from here. It is located at a distance of almost 22 km, an alternative route for reaching Dibrugarh is via the national highways which are almost 24 Km away.
By Road: The road transport company State Transport Bus facilitates Chitrakoot with connections to Mathura, Lucknow, Agra, Kanpur, Gwalior and other destinations. The road connectivity is rather good and they can use the Chitrakoot Bus Stand. Once on the Temple side, the traditional market is 2 Km from the temple.
