The Bargi Dam construction began in 1974 and was completed in 1990. The main dam was constructed near Bargi village in Madhya Pradesh, close to National Highway 7, which connects Jabalpur to Nagpur. It has been named Bargi Dam. The dam is a hydropower generator with 90 MW capacities and irrigation in a huge area.
