By road: If you take the road then you will reach your final destination in approximately 2 hours 41 minutes. There are two routes to take from Mumbai. You can either choose the Kamshet route which is 122 km or the Dudhiware Khind route which is 108 km.
By train: If the road is not your option then you can always choose the comfortable and affordable train ride. To reach your destination, you need to first board a train from Mumbai station. You will get down at Lonavala and take a private jeep to reach the final site. The distance from Mumbai to Lonavala is roughly 100 km and then 30 km from Lonavala to Pawna Lake. The good thing is that trains are available every 45 to 60 minutes. It’s better to take a shared jeep ride so that you can save some money. It costs around Rs 2000 for a one-way trip and can accommodate up to 10 people at once.
By bus: Several private buses are running from Mumbai to Lonavala. Once you reach Lonavala, you have to book a private taxi ride to cover the rest of the journey.
